Clothes, definitely. But to get specific, typical wedding attire is recommended (cocktail or formal dresses, suits or button-up shirts with blazers/sport coats and slacks, etc.). Feel free to wear white, if you like; the bride doesn't care! Most importantly, wear what makes you feel good and ready to party. It's important to note that the ceremony will be outside, weather permitting, in an amphitheater with some gravel areas. Stiletto heels will be fine for most of the evening, but might be hard to navigate walking to and from your seat during the ceremony. And last but not least, please bring sunglasses and/or hats! The amphitheater faces the sun during the late afternoon, and we don't want you to have to squint your way through the ceremony.
You shouldn't, unless you can't take the shuttles! We have no reserved parking available to us, though there is parking at the Haw River Ballroom itself. You might get lucky and find a spot, but we cannot make any promises. Parking is recommended only for those with children in carseats or folks who might need additional assistance getting in and out of their cars. We'll have a shuttle from the Hampton Inn to the venue and back so that you won't have to drive to and from Saxapahaw. Shuttles will leave at 4pm from the hotel. See the Travel and Accommodations tab for more information.
If your RSVP entry says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer you just bring your lovely self.
Fear not, fickle foodies! Our regular menu contains kosher and gluten free options, and all vegetables will remain meat-free (sorry, true Southerners). Vegans, you won't be stuck with just the side salad, I promise. For those with allergies, general care is taken to avoid cross-contamination, but the venue cannot guarantee your safety. We will be serving shellfish, milk products, eggs, and glutinous bread. But no peanuts! :)
