Wedding Party

It wouldn’t be Tulum—or this wedding—without them. These are the people who’ve laughed with us, cried with us, kept us (mostly) sane, and supported our journey every step of the way. We’re so lucky to have them standing beside us as we say “I do.” Scroll down to meet the wedding party ✨

Jackie

Bride

When Jackie was little and people asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she said: a unicorn. And in many ways, she still is—equal parts mythical, magical, and impossible to ignore 🦄✨ She’s also a little bit evil goth queen, a lotta bit Virgo perfectionist with a planning kink, and 100% heart. Jackie is the kind of person who shows up—fully, fiercely, and fabulously. She’ll make you laugh, make you feel seen, and is always prepared—for literally everything, including things that haven't even happened yet. Like, yes, she brought an extra phone charger for you. Falling for Jon wasn’t something she planned (rare for her), but it was inevitable. He’s everything she never dared to imagine she could actually have: gentle, brilliant, big-hearted, and just chaotic enough to balance her spreadsheets. Loving him is the easiest thing she’s ever done—and she can’t wait to spend the rest of her life building something extraordinary together. Preferably color-coded.

Jon

Groom

Jon is the kind of person who makes you feel like you’ve known him forever within five minutes—deeply warm, wildly creative, and always, always smiling. He once built an entire company from scratch, but he’ll just as happily build you the perfect playlist that makes you cry. He's charming and witty, and operating on some kind of genius frequency the rest of us can't always access. Jon is the essence of chaotic good - he might forget why he walked into that room, but he'll invent something brilliant while he's in there. He radiates joy and genuine curiosity, and has a way of making everyone around him feel lighter, brighter, and completely at ease. Jon and Jackie are the ultimate cosmic duo—water and earth, dreamer and doer, chaos-inventor and color-coder, moonlight and morning sun. He knew the moment he met her that he was done for. And now here he is, marrying the love of his life in the jungle, surrounded by the people who mean everything to them. It's a little surreal and exactly right.

Lisa

Mother of the Bride

Lisa is the ultimate cool mom—stylish, adventurous, and endlessly supportive. She raised three incredible kids while working nights, and still managed to chase her own dreams—earning her degree in her 40s and becoming the VP of Marketing & Communications for the AGC of Massachusetts. Total powerhouse. She’s been Jackie’s biggest cheerleader every step of the way, and is one of her biggest role models and closest confidantes. She welcomed Jon with open arms (and a glass of wine), and has taught Jackie what it means to be a strong, successful woman who leads with grace, grit, and humor. We love her endlessly—and she’ll absolutely be the best-dressed mom in the jungle.

Barbara

Mother of the Groom

Barbara is warmth, wisdom, and Midwestern kindness wrapped in one incredibly lovely human. A lifelong librarian, she raised Jon with an endless supply of gentle encouragement and unconditional love—the kind of mom who nurtures both intellect and imagination. She’s thoughtful and funny, with a calming presence and the kind of sweetness that instantly puts everyone at ease. Whether she’s cheering Jon on, sharing stories with Jackie, or quietly observing with a twinkle in her eye, Barbara brings so much heart to everything she touches. We feel so lucky to have her love and support—and can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with her right by our side.

Joe

Father of the Bride

Jackie will always be a daddy’s girl—and Joe will always be her rock. Growing up, the two of them were an unshakable duo, figuring out life together with love, laughter, and plenty of softball practice. He coached her teams, cheered her on from the sidelines, and stood by her through every high and low. Now? He’s still on the sidelines—this time cheering Jackie on as she tears it up on the flag football field, a sport he himself played for over 20 years. The torch has officially been passed, but the support hasn’t wavered one bit. Joe is a one-of-a-kind mix of Mr. Clean and Stone Cold Steve Austin, with a house that looks like Martha Stewart personally decorated it. He’s a meticulous lawn care king, a proud pickleball champion, and the kind of dad who makes everything feel okay just by being there. He’s kind, loving, and endlessly proud—and Jackie feels lucky every day to be his daughter.

Jacob

Officiant

Jacob is our dear friend, one of the pillars of the Queer Winthrop Social Club, and our wedding officiant—because truly, who else could do it better? He knows us as a couple better than just about anyone, and we can’t imagine anyone else standing up there with us, making us laugh and cry (and probably both at once). Jacob is the life of every party—the one telling the wild story, dropping niche facts, or kicking off the group dance with zero hesitation. He’s smart, stylish, athletic, and absolutely requires social interaction or he will whither away and die. He and Jackie are kindred spirits: type-A, detail-obsessed, and the ones quietly (or not so quietly) keeping the creatives—aka Ange and Jon—on schedule and off the ledge. But beyond the banter, Jacob is one of the most thoughtful and reliable people we know. He’s family. And we’re so honored to have him help us start this next chapter.

Aurora

Ceremony Reader

Aurora is Jackie’s aunt, the eldest of six siblings, and an absolute force of nature. A master in the kitchen and a woman of incredible strength, she’s been a lifelong role model—showing Jackie what it means to lead with love, stand tall in your power, and always bring the good snacks. She’s warm, hilarious, and fiercely supportive—the kind of woman who lifts up everyone around her. Having her read during the ceremony is not only an honor, but a beautiful way to bring her voice, heart, and legacy into such a meaningful moment.

Keith

Ceremony Reader

Keith is Jon’s cousin, but more like a godfather in spirit—an anchor of wisdom, warmth, and charisma in his life. As a child psychologist, he’s deeply empathetic and insightful, with a way of speaking that makes you want to listen just a little longer. He and his wife Roberta (a brilliant artist) are the kind of couple we both admire deeply—grounded, creative, and continuously inspiring. We’re so grateful to have Keith lending his voice to our ceremony; it feels like the perfect full-circle moment.

Audrey

Flower Girl

Audrey is the daughter of Joey and Susan, and the very first Mula grandchild—a true miracle baby and one of Jackie & Jon's favorite tiny humans in the entire world. She’s got those strong Mula genes, the sweetest calm energy, and somehow manages to be cool, hilarious, and painfully adorable all at once. She made Jackie an Auntie for the first time, and that title has never meant more. There’s truly no better feeling than seeing Audrey light up and run full speed into Jackie and Jon’s arms. Having her walk down the aisle as a flower girl is one of the most special parts of the entire weekend.

Stella

Flower Girl

Stella is the daughter of Nicky and Mike and, like her cousin Audrey, an absolute miracle of a tiny human and a favorite to Jackie & Jon. This adorable blonde-hair, green-eyed peanut is always zooming around at full speed with a shriek of joy. She’s obsessed with Buzz and Woody and brings a whole lot of love and laughter wherever she goes. Being Auntie to Stella is one of Jackie’s greatest joys. The love Jackie and Jon have for this wild little sunshine beam is impossible to put into words—but seeing her walk down the aisle as a flower girl is a pretty great start.

Gui

Ring Bearer

Gui is the glue, the spark, the entire reason Queer Winthrop Social Club even exists—and truly, we owe him so much. He was Jon’s realtor (yep, helped him find our house!). Gui initially had some assumptions about the nature of Jackie and Jon's dynamic during house tours—and let’s just say, none of them involved them being a couple. Until one day, he thought he heard Jackie say ‘babe,’ and the whole illusion unraveled. From there, a beautiful friendship blossomed—Gui and Jackie are always the two laughing a little too hard at something wildly offbeat at a party. He was the very first person Jon showed the engagement ring to, so it only felt right to have him be the one to carry it down the aisle. He’s family. (And he also happens to be an up-and-coming DJ, so don’t be surprised if you catch him laying down some jungle beats at some point)

Paul

Best Man

Paul is not only Jon’s longtime friend but also a fellow entrepreneur, creative spirit, and all-around incredible human. He’s the kind of person who brings warmth, intention, and curiosity to everything he does. He’s deeply thoughtful, infinitely kind, and listens just as much as he leads. He and his wife Ursula have built a beautiful life together raising their two creative, wild boys and three dogs. They are always humble, sometimes chaotic, and never miss a beat—whether hosting friends, planning adventures, or just enjoying the every day. As Jon’s Best Man, Paul is a grounding presence—someone who’s been part of Jon’s journey in more ways than one. We admire the love he gives so generously and we’re so honored to have him by our side.

Nicky

Matron of Honor

Jackie’s older sister by just a year and a half—but she’s been a role model since day one. Nicky was the kind of kid who was always drawing—mostly Disney characters—and somehow she turned that childhood passion into a real-deal dream career. She's now an illustrator for Marvel, which feels perfectly full-circle for the girl who never stopped creating. Nicky is not only ridiculously talented, but also effortlessly cool and the person Jackie has looked up to her whole life. You can usually find her and Jackie laughing over an obscure movie quote or an inside joke. She married Mike (whom Jackie coincidentally played rugby with in college—because life is weird and awesome like that), and together they have Stella: artist-in-training and chaos queen. Nicky is an amazing mom, a brilliant creative, and the kind of sister who makes the world feel a little funnier, brighter, and more ✨them✨ just by being in it.

Brendan

Groomsman

Brendan and Jon go way back—friends since high school, Brendan is now the kind of grown-up friend you can count on for everything from a dinner party to a favor at a moment’s notice. Life may have pulled everyone in different directions over the years, but Brendan’s one of those people who always shows up when it matters—and makes you laugh while he’s at it. He and his wife Elinor are basically the unofficial social directors of Winthrop—members of the Cottage Park Yacht Club, proud sailboat owners, and always hosting something fun. Their house is a guaranteed good time, and Brendan’s signature blend of dad jokes, good wine, and genuine kindness sets the tone every time. He’s an amazing dad to Evelyn and Bennett and the kind of friend who feels like home. We’re lucky to have him in our lives—and even luckier to have him standing beside Jon on this day.

Susan

Bridesmaid

Susan is Jackie’s sister-in-law, but honestly, she’s felt like an extra sister since day one. She and Joe (Jackie’s brother) are college sweethearts who go all the way back to high school, and they spent over 15 years living the dream up in Vermont—where Jackie loved visiting them constantly. Whether they were exploring Burlington, catching Keller Williams shows, or just vibing on the porch, time with Susan always felt like a breath of fresh mountain air. She’s sweet, thoughtful, and deeply kind—one of those quietly radiant people who makes every space feel a little calmer, a little more grounded. She works for Boston Consulting Group (BCG), is a beautiful writer, and is an incredible mom to Audrey. She may be mellow, but don’t be fooled—Susan is always down for a tequila shot when the moment calls for it. Nostrovia! 🥃

Chris

Groomsman

Chris and Jon go way back—like high school band back. (Yes, it was called Tina’s Revenge. Yes, there are photos. No, you can’t see them.) Chris was the bassist, Jon was the singer/guitarist, and together with Chris’s twin brother Brendan, they laid the foundation for a lifelong friendship built on loud music, late nights, and just the right amount of chaos. Chris and Jon grew up together, lived together at one point, and somehow ended up neighbors again in Winthrop. He’s tatted, loves motorcycles, and is very much not the same personality type as Jon—but that’s what makes the friendship work. More importantly, Chris is the guy who always has our back. He’s a true friend and someone we both know we can rely on whenever we need him. We couldn't imagine this special day without him standing by Jon's side.

Bridgette

Bridesmaid

Jackie and Bridgette met over a decade ago in the Boston rave scene, and it was basically love at first bass drop. Bridgette—tiny, tatted, and quiet as a whisper—didn’t stand a chance once Jackie decided, “Yes, you’re coming with me.” She’s been in Jackie’s pocket (and heart) ever since. From chasing EDM shows and festivals to chasing dreams, they've always ended up on the exact same wavelength—whether it’s witchy tradeshows, beach prosecco, or just sitting in silence that feels like home. She’s introverted but fearless, brilliant in the kitchen (head chef at Legal Seafoods, no big deal), and an incredible mom to her amazing daughter, Lily. She knows everything about Jackie, and Jackie wouldn't dream of doing this without her. She’s her forever weird little sister, the person she can call for anything—from a ritual moon bath to a spontaneous road trip—and the definition of ride or die.

Matt

Groomsman

Matt “Skelly” is one of Jon’s longtime friends—and one of Jackie’s biggest fans (don’t tell Jon). He started out as Jon’s buddy, but quickly became a beloved friend to them both. The running joke is that if Jackie and Jon ever broke up, Skelly’s loyalty would lie firmly with Jackie… and honestly, Jon’s accepted that. He’s a civil engineer by day and a beer-cracking, joke-telling party MVP by night. He and Jon have spent countless hours together playing Magic: The Gathering (usually with their buddy Antonio), and they never fail to bring the nerdy, chaotic energy in the best way. Skelly is married to Dana, a school principal with a calming presence and a heart of gold, and they have three beautiful kids—MJ, Scottie, and baby Harper. MJ and Scottie are two of the sweetest little humans on Earth, and we feel so lucky to have Skelly (and his incredible fam) in our lives. We’re thrilled he’ll be standing up there with us on the big day.

Angelina

Bridesmaid

Angelina is Jackie's soul friend and thrifting fairy godmother. They met just a few years ago thanks to Gui at one of his work events—an unlikely duo at first glance, and now life is unimaginable without her. The kind of friendship that just clicks, like the universe dropped her in Jackie’s lap at exactly the right time. She’s a little bit awkward, a little bit nerdy, and insanely stylish—like Gen Z Pinterest-board-chic without even trying. Her love language is sending you unhinged-but-amazing Facebook Marketplace finds and then offering to drive three hours to go pick them up if they’re free. (And yes, she will find something incredible every single time she goes thrifting.) Angelina and her fiancee Jacob (our incredible officiant) are the kind of people you dream about meeting as adults—ride-or-die friends who make you feel totally seen, totally accepted, and totally yourself. Ange has shown Jackie what it really means to have a girls-girl in your corner, and how beautiful it is to lean into softness, sweetness, and unapologetic friendship.

Nick

Groomsman

Nick is one of Jackie & Jon's closest friends, a core member of the Queer Winthrop Social Club, and the kind of person who always shows up—on time, with his own snacks, and probably an itinerary. His love language is advanced planning, and if he doesn’t have a calendar invite, it’s simply not happening. (Respect.) He and Jon became fast friends after their first hike together just north of Winthrop, and from that point on, it was game over. Whether it’s solo boys’ questing or group adventures in Colombia, Vermont, or the local game shelf at Nick’s house, the friendship is rock-solid. Nick is our fellow elder millennial, our game night host, our hiking guide, and our go-to when we need a dose of sincerity mixed with humor. He’s reliable in a way that makes you feel safe, and thoughtful in a way that reminds you you’re loved. We couldn’t imagine embarking on the greatest quest of our lives without him, and are so grateful that we get to share this special day with him by our side.

Vanessa

Wedding Planner

Every bride dreams of finding the one… and we’re not just talking about Jon 😉. Enter Vanessa—architect, wedding planner, restaurateur (yes, really), and the magical force behind our Tulum jungle wedding. Based in Mexico City and only 32, Vanessa has already owned three of her own restaurants (including one that specialized in waffle sandwiches —fancy Monte Cristos, anyone?) and somehow still finds time to plan the dreamiest events. She's creative, calm, endlessly thoughtful, and has a sixth sense for exactly what we’re envisioning—even before we say it out loud. When we visit Tulum, she is by our side the entire time—smiling, translating, navigating, advocating, and making sure every little detail feels just right. We are so lucky to have her, and this wedding wouldn’t be what it is without her heart, taste, and total dedication.
