Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

We’ll be celebrating in beautiful Tulum, Mexico from February 25–28, 2027. Our ceremony and reception will take place on February 27, 2027 at KAN Tulum, with other events and gatherings planned throughout the long weekend.

Question

Where is everyone staying—and how do we book a room?

Answer

We’ve done a full hotel reservation at KAN Tulum, a stunning jungle oasis that we’ll have all to ourselves. The property includes 48 rooms that can comfortably sleep 100 guests. Once we receive everyone’s RSVPs, we’ll be assigning rooms and sending out booking links. Guests will reimburse us directly for the cost of their stay—we’ve arranged a group payment schedule with the hotel to keep things simple.

Question

What are the room rates at KAN?

Answer

February is one of the busiest months of the year in Tulum so we are especially thrilled to be able to offer the following deeply discounted rates to our guests. Pricing for the full weekend stay (Thursday to Sunday) will range from: -$235–$475 per person for single rooms (depending on whether you're solo or splitting with a partner) -$360–$485 per person for double rooms (based on 3–4 guests per room) We'll share individual costs, room assignments, and reimbursement details after RSVPs are collected.

Question

Can I request to share a room with someone?

Answer

Since we’ve reserved the entire hotel, we’ll be coordinating room assignments to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible and that we make the most of the space. If we plan to pair you in a room with someone (like close friends or family), we’ll reach out directly ahead of time to confirm it’s okay. Otherwise, you can assume you’ll have your own room or be paired with your partner if you're RSVPing together. Thanks for trusting us to handle the logistics—we’ve got you covered.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We’re keeping our celebration intimate, surrounded by close friends and family — those who truly know us and our journey together. We’ve reserved exactly the number of seats listed on your invitation in your honor. If you’re unsure or have any questions about your RSVP, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re happy to clarify!

Question

Can I Bring My Kids to the Wedding?

Answer

We love your little ones—and we know how hard it can be to leave them behind—but we’ve decided to keep our wedding weekend an adults-only celebration, with the exception of our sweet nieces, Stella and Audrey, who will be joining us as flower girls. Our events will take place over several days in Tulum (February 25–28, 2027), and we hope this gives you an opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy some well-deserved grown-up time in paradise. Thank you so much for understanding—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

How do I get to Tulum—and will there be transportation from the airport?

Answer

You’ll want to fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN), which is about a 1.5 to 2-hour drive from Tulum. We’ll be arranging shuttle transportation to and from the airport for all guests arriving and departing within the wedding dates (February 25–28, 2027). To help make things as smooth and efficient as possible, we’re planning to work with Delta and/or JetBlue to try and coordinate group flight options. Since we’ll be booking shuttles in groups, having guests on similar flights means we don’t have to schedule 30 separate drivers—and keeps everything running seamlessly for everyone involved. We’ll share more details soon about whether the airlines are able to provide us with group flight discounts.

Question

Can I arrive earlier or stay later than the official wedding dates?

Answer

Yes! KAN is offering a 10% discount for those who would like to arrive earlier or stay later than the official wedding dates. You're also free to explore other hotels in the area if you'd prefer. Please note that we’ll only be covering shuttle service to and from the airport on the official wedding dates. If you’re traveling outside that window, you’ll need to arrange your own transportation. Thanks for understanding. We'll share more details about how to extend your stay at KAN once we receive all RSVPs.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! Mexico requires a valid passport for entry. Please double-check that yours is up-to-date and doesn’t expire within 6 months of travel.

Question

How do I submit my flight information?

Answer

Once you've booked flights for your entire party, please copy and paste this link into your web browser and submit your information: https://forms.gle/e2t7i5SHFzAJMJLS7 We will begin coordinating group shuttles to and from Cancun airport after we receive all guests' flight information and will reach out either via email or text with all the details.

Question

Is Tulum safe for travelers?

Answer

Yes! Tulum is a popular destination that welcomes travelers from all over the world—and we've never felt anything but safe and welcomed during our trips. That said, like anywhere abroad, it’s always smart to use basic travel precautions: stick to well-lit areas, don’t flash valuables, and trust your instincts. KAN is located in a peaceful jungle neighborhood just outside the main strip, and the hotel has a gated entrance and 24-hour front desk staff.

Question

What’s included during the wedding weekend?

Answer

We’ve got you covered for all wedding-related festivities! Here’s what we’re hosting: Welcome Drinks to kick things off right Wedding Party Excursion TBD for the wedding party and immediate family Rehearsal Dinner for the wedding party and immediate family Wedding Day: An 8-hour open bar, three-course plated dinner, late-night tacos to fuel your dance moves, and an after-party at Papaya Playa Project Recovery Brunch the morning after Shuttle Transportation (to and from the airport) Outside of those events, meals and drinks will be up to you—KAN has a restaurant on site and the hotel is about 10–15 minutes from Tulum’s beach strip, where you’ll find plenty of food, drinks, and adventures. And yes—there’s a pool and private cenote at KAN for you to discover. Keep an eye on the "Schedule" page for a full breakdown of the entire weekend.

Question

What will the weather be like in Tulum?

Answer

Tulum in February is chef’s kiss perfect: expect warm, sunny days and comfortable evenings, with average temps around 75–85°F. There’s always a small chance of tropical showers (it is the jungle, after all!), so we recommend packing light layers, sun protection, and something just in case of a quick sprinkle.

Question

What’s the dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

Think colorful pastel boho — dreamy, breezy, and effortlessly chic. We’re getting married under the Tulum sun, and we want the vibe (and the wardrobe) to match. Do wear: linen suits, flowy chiffon dresses, light textures, soft colors, vibrant colors, and anything with a little whimsy. Pastels, sun-washed brights, earthy neutrals, and anything you’d wear to sip a Paloma barefoot at golden hour? Perfect. Don't wear: white (we’ve got that covered), bold prints, or florals — we’re going for a dreamy palette of solid colors that keeps everything soft, cohesive, and camera-ready. Leave the stilettos and tuxes at home — we want you to feel comfortable, cool, and ready to dance all night. Need some inspo? Question

What should I pack—and do I need a power adapter?

Answer

No adapter needed! Mexico uses the same power outlets and voltage as the U.S., so you can bring your usual chargers and electronics without a problem. As for packing: Bring your beach best—lightweight clothes, sandals, swimwear, sunscreen, and something breezy and beautiful for the wedding. Evenings can get a little cooler, so a light layer or wrap can come in handy. And don’t forget your sunglasses and a hat to keep cool during the day. If you're planning to explore town or go on an adventure, you might also want comfy shoes and a small day bag.

Question

Should I exchange USD for pesos before I go—or at the airport?

Answer

You don’t need to exchange money before the trip—most places in Tulum accept U.S. dollars and credit or debit cards. That said, you’ll usually get better value when paying in pesos, especially at smaller shops or local spots. If you do want pesos on hand, we don’t recommend exchanging a large amount at the Cancún airport, since the rates there tend to be much higher. Instead, the easiest and most cost-effective option is to withdraw pesos from an ATM once you’re in Mexico (just be sure to decline the ATM’s currency conversion offer and let your bank handle it). We suggest bringing some cash with you, and using ATMs at local banks in Tulum if you need more once you're there.

Question

How will we stay in touch during the trip?

Answer

We’ll be using WhatsApp as our main way to communicate during the wedding weekend. It’s the most reliable option in Tulum, especially since iMessage and standard texting can be spotty with international service. We’ll set up a group chat before the trip to share key info, updates, and maybe a few memes along the way. Please download WhatsApp ahead of time if you don’t already have it. Once the app is installed, text Jackie at 339-237-1160 (via WhatsApp) and she will add you to the official wedding weekend group chat.
