For about a year and a half, we worked in the same office building in South Boston—different companies, same elevator. Every day, Jon tried to get the girl with the shaved head, tattoos, and adorable puppy to smile at him. No luck. Eventually, Jackie and Koda moved offices to Cambridge for a new role, but a year later, fate brought her right back to that very same building. The spark was instant. Our days quickly filled with witty banter, environmentally friendly carpools from Winthrop to Southie, and extended office hours.
