Travel Note
Once you're in Monterey or Carmel, it's pretty easy to explore the town by walking or calling an Uber or Lyft nearly anywhere you need to go. It might take a little longer for a ride to arrive (10-15 minutes). If you want to explore more of the Central Coast, golf, or hike, we recommend renting a car.
Flight
MRY is a small regional airport, but connects to DFW, DEN, LAS, LAX, PHX, SAN, SFO, and SEA. This airport is an 8-mile drive from our wedding venue. If you don't want to rent a car or take a bit of a road trip down the California coast, this is your best option.
Flight
SJC is a large airport with plenty of flights. It is a 1.5-hour drive from our wedding venue. SFO is a large airport with plenty of flights. It is a 2-hour drive from our wedding venue. If you fly into SJC or SFO, we highly recommend renting a car and making a day of it. Let us know if you decide to take this route and want to carpool with other guests or recommendations for roadtrip stops along the way!
Hotel
We have set up three room blocks across Carmel and Monterey. Two of the room blocks (Hyatt & Carmel Mission Inn) are larger hotels with amenities but are not walking distance from downtown. Carmel has many small and cute B&B inns. Our third room block (Pine Inn) has this feel, but space is very limited. We were not able to get room blocks at other small inns, but we encourage looking into them and booking directly if you'd like a more traditional Carmel B&B-type feel. Inns on the more affordable side that we recommend include: Mission Ranch Inn The Homestead The Normandy Inn There are also many other inns and hotels in the area, and Carmel is a small town, so feel free to book one wherever is best for you.
