Why did you choose San Miguel de Allende?
Answer
We have friends and family all over the country (and a few international, too!) and know most of you will be traveling to celebrate with us no matter where we hosted our wedding. It means so much to us that you’d make the trip and we want to bring you to a place you can turn into a fantastic vacation. We love San Miguel de Allende and know you will also fall in love with the beautiful colonial Spanish architecture, world class dining options, and welcoming culture. With this in mind, plus our love of tacos 😉, it was the right choice for us.

What else should I know about San Miguel?

1. San Miguel is not near the beach! In fact, it is at 6,000 feet altitude (the same as Denver, CO). Please stay hydrated and take it easy on your walks! 2. 20% of San Miguel's residents are expats and you'll hear English everywhere. But, it doesn't hurt to brush up on a few Spanish phrases. 3. Credit cards are accepted mostly everywhere, but having a few pesos on hand (for spontaneous street taco stops) is recommended.

Is there a dress code for each wedding event?
Answer
Yes! Please see the Schedule page for a detailed overview of each event including attire. Please note, while beautiful, San Miguel’s cobblestone streets make it hard to wear heels. Block heels, wedges, low heels, and flats are recommended.

Are children invited to the wedding events?
Answer
We love your kids, we really do! Unfortunately we are only able to accommodate the children in the wedding party at our wedding events. If you decide to travel with your children to Mexico, our incredible planners have recommended the following bilingual nanny services: 1. San Miguel Kids offers nanny services and baby gear rental. What is the weather like?
Answer
San Miguel has a very mild climate. The days are sunny and warm and the evenings are cool. In October, the average high is 76°F (day) and low is 51°F (night). The sun is strong here -- don't forget your sunscreen! Be sure to pack jackets, shawls, and wraps for the day to night weather change.

How should I get around San Miguel?
Answer
Zona Centro, the neighborhood all events will be in and we recommend you stay in, is extremely walkable and about 10-15 minutes end to end. You do not need a car. If you want a break from the cobblestones, taxis and Uber are readily available.
