We are projecting guests to arrive as early as 4 pm on the grounds, with the ceremony starting at 4:30 pm. The ceremony and dinner will be held outdoors and the dancing area will be indoors next to the dinner location. If weather does not permit an outdoor evening, the dinner will be moved inside. Typically, during April, the weather in Big Sur is upper-60s with the night temps dropping down to a slight chill.
Please check your invitation envelope to see if a guest is included. We’d love to host everyone, but space is limited. While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration outside of immediate nieces and nephews. We hope you enjoy a night off!
We HIGHLY recommend that you stay in Big Sur for the weekend, if anything to eliminate the need to rent a car for the weekend. The accommodations listed are right next door to our venue, within walking distance. If you do decide to stay in Monterey, please rent a car and plan accordingly for the 40-50min drive into Big Sur to the venue. Again, we cannot stress that the cell service is few and far between once in Big Sur, so please research the area and plan accordingly. We have been told some of the locals can arrange transportation after the event, but not guaranteed as of yet.
You are an adult and can do whatever you want. However rideshares are not typically available in Big Sur. There is little to no service in Big Sur, meaning you probably won't be able to call a taxi or use a ride share app. This is why we recommend you stay in Big Sur (Both accommodations listed are right next door to the venue) While the Venue may be able to call you a taxi, there is no guarantee you can secure a ride the night of, so please just plan accordingly. (P.S. It's honestly cheaper to stay in Big Sur then to stay in Monterey and uber an hour to the venue)
