Things To Do in Chicago

The Wedding Website of Colleen Dobry and Scott Ciraulo
We hope many of you decide to make a whole weekend out of it! Summer in Chicago is the best, with so many outdoor activities from Cubs games to beaches, rooftop drinks and restaurant patios. See below for a few of our favorites and recommendations.

Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 10

1060 West Addison Street, Chicago, IL 60613
, (773) 404-2827

As luck would have it, the Cubs' biggest rivals play each other the weekend of our wedding. Pending COVID/fan allowance, we suggest getting tickets to the game on Saturday night! The Wrigley Rooftops will likely be open for fans. If there is a large enough group interested, we can look into getting tickets together. Otherwise, Wrigleyville in general is the place to be when the Cubs are in town.

Chicago River Boat Architecture Tours

465 North McClurg Court, Chicago, IL 60611
, (708) 488-6343

An architecture boat tour is one of the best things to do in the summertime! Every tour is different and you'll get amazing views of the city while learning about Chicago's storied architecture.

Lakefront Trail

Lakefront Trail, Chicago, IL

Scott and I have spent a lot of time walking along the lake! It's open for biking, running, walking, and has access points to the various beaches and parks along the way.

Lincoln Park Zoo

2001 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614
, (312) 742-2000

The zoo is free! It's a great way to spend an afternoon and there are lots of bars and shops within walking distance so you can plan a nice day around visiting the zoo.

Chicago Riverwalk

Chicago Riverwalk, Chicago, IL 60601
, (877) 300-6746

Our favorite time to head to the riverwalk is dusk. There are a few ice cream shops and wine bars along the way and the water reflects off the buildings beautifully.

Millennium Park

201 East Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60602
, (312) 742-1168

Millenium Park is a touristy spot, but for good reason! Beautiful views of the Chicago skyline, the infamous Bean sculpture, plus lots of shopping, restaurants, and bars nearby. Maggie Daley Park is sort of connected to Millenium Park and a great area to explore, too!

West Loop

Chicago, IL

The West Loop neighborhood is FULL of amazing restaurants. Randolph Street, also known as "Restaurant Row" is filled with shops, amazing restaurants, and bars. Fulton Market is connected to the West Loop neighborhood and has a lot of great options, too.

Old Town

Chicago, IL

Old Town is a fun neighborhood, especially the stretch on Wells St. with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants!

Gold Coast

Chicago, IL 60610

Gold Coast is a bit more "old school Chicago" with a lot of restaurants that have been there for a long time and plenty of fancy boutiques to shop!

Lincoln Square

Chicago, IL

Lincoln Square is a beautiful neighborhood with a European feel. There are several coffee shops, book stores, an apothecary, and restaurants around this quaint little square.

DreamDry - Lincoln Park

904 West Armitage Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614
, (773) 697-8172

A few women have asked where they can get their hair done on Friday, so I wanted to provide a few options! In addition to Dream Dry, here are a few more: https://www.drybarshops.com/ http://www.goldplaited.com/ archapothecary.com http://www.glowoutsalon.com/ http://www.blowtique.com/

For all the days along the way
