Question

What's the COVID update?

Answer

UPDATE as of June 1, 2021: based on the latest State and City of Chicago announcements, we are cautiously optimistic about the outlook of our celebration. Indoor venues may host up to 250 and outdoor venues may host up to 500. Dance floors are permitted! Fortunately, our venue is quite large, with our ceremony and cocktail hour taking place entirely outdoors and the Pavilion Tent having built-in ventilation, as well as removable walls for additional airflow. Additionally, the tent's capacity is 5x our guest count, so rest assured we have flexibility and everyone's safety in mind. Above all else, we want you to feel comfortable and make the best decision for yourself and your family. We support whatever choice you need to make. Lastly, we are happy to address any special needs you may have. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Please arrange childcare ahead of time and reach out if you need help finding someone for the evening.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than June 1, 2021.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, if you have a food allergy, please reach out to Scott or Colleen as early as possible so we can ensure your needs are accommodated.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Gowns and cocktail dresses are welcome, and men may wear a suit or dark jacket with slacks Ladies, please note: the ground near the ceremony and cocktail area is made of grass and brick pavers, so you may want to consider wedges, block heels, or high heel protectors: http://www.heelsabove.com/high-heel-protectors/.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, please refer to the Travel tab of this website for hotel blocks we've arranged at Hotel Zachary, The Gwen, and Aloft.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Because the Cubs have a home game on Friday, we will arrange a private shuttle to Galleria Marchetti for the Hotel Zachary guests. You will receive information separately from us via email, but please plan to be ready to board the shuttle around 4:30 p.m. If you are staying somewhere other than Hotel Zachary, we ask that you arrange your own safe travel for the evening. There are ample cabs, rideshares, and public transportation options available. We have also called ahead for standard cabs to be stationed outside the venue at the end of the evening for those who do not use Uber or Lyft.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We strongly encourage the use of public transportation, however, there is valet available at Galleria Marchetti for $14/vehicle. Please ensure you have designated a safe drive home. We will have standard cabs stationed outside the venue at the end of the night for those that do not use Uber or Lyft.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Everyone is invited to a Welcome Party on Thursday evening from 8 - 10 p.m. at Uncommon Ground (Lakeview)

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, our registry is accessible via this website under the Wedding Registry tab.
