As you make your way to Long Island to celebrate with us, we’ve put together everything you’ll need to get here smoothly - from airport tips and rental car suggestions to local tricks for beating traffic (trust us, it’s real). Whether you’re flying in from afar or coming in by train or car, we hope this guide helps you plan your trip with ease. We can’t wait to welcome you to a place that means so much to us and start the next chapter of our adventure with all of you there! NOTE: We will be reserving hotel room blocks and will send out a message to all guests when those are established so guests may book their accommodations if decide to :)

Nearest Airports

Here’s a quick guide to nearby airports and how far they are from our wedding venue in Melville, NY: Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) - Approximately 25–35 minutes away A convenient local airport and usually the easiest option if you can find a good flight. Less chaos, less stress, more Long Island energy. John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) - Approximately 40–60+ minutes away A very common option with lots of flight choices. Heads up: JFK can be busy, and traffic or ongoing construction may add extra time - plan accordingly and pack your patience. LaGuardia Airport (LGA) - Approximately 45–65+ minutes away Recently renovated and often a smoother option than JFK. Still busy, but generally a bit more user-friendly these days. Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) – Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 2+ hours away A solid option if pricing works best or if you’re staying closer to NYC before heading to Long Island - just allow plenty of time for bridge-and-tunnel traffic. Travel Tip: If you’re flying into any NYC-area airport, be sure to give yourself a generous buffer. Long Island is beautiful… but not always easy to get to.

Transportation & Getting Around

Rental Cars: Available at or around all airports and strongly recommended. Having a rental car will make getting to the venue, hotel, restaurants, and anywhere else you’d like to go much easier and more convenient. Ride Shares: Uber and Lyft are available and should be a great option on the wedding night itself. For getting around Long Island throughout the rest of your trip, though, they can be a bit hit or miss depending on location and time of day - and multiple rides can add up quickly. We’d recommend not relying on them as your main mode of transportation for the full weekend. Train Option: The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) connects NYC to various parts of Long Island. It’s a solid option if you’re coming in from the city and staying nearby, but you’ll likely still need a car or ride from the station to reach the venue or hotels. Let us know if you need help navigating it!

Local Tips

The wedding is in April, and the ceremony will be fully outdoors, with the cocktail hour taking place both inside and outside, weather permitting. Spring on Long Island can be unpredictable - it might be sunny and warm or breezy and cool - so we recommend bringing a stylish coat or light layers to stay comfortable. Long Island weekend traffic is no joke, especially if you’re traveling from the city - give yourself plenty of extra time to arrive stress-free. Need help or have last-minute questions? Feel free to text our Maid of Honor, Natalie, or Best Men, Andrew & Frankie - they’ve got you covered!
