We did a great hike to the waterfall here in the middle of winter (there's a pic on our gallery page). The waterfall is technically across the border in MA, and is actually the largest waterfall system in the state. I imagine it's even more impressive and beautiful this time of year!
Great place to grab a drink at the bar in this historic music hall! I’m sure there will be plenty of Kellys who will want to keep the party going after 8pm and this could be just the spot! Look up their live music shows if you plan on being in the area the night before or after the wedding!
We love hiking at the lovely Audubon Center! There are lots of great trails, and there is an awesome outdoor aviary to visit with birds like hawks, ravens, eagles and owls who can't be released into the wild due to injuries that the center cares for. I always think of my Grandpa Kelly when I hike here, as he was a big supporter of the Audubon Society and an avid bird watcher in his golden years.
While in the area, come by and check out our little log cabin home! The extended deck has just been laid and there is ample room to hang out here! We invite folks to join us for a lite and casual brunch the morning after our wedding starting around 11am. Please RSVP to that event (separate from the wedding RSVP) if you plan on attending so we can get a head count for food and beverages :) Hope to see you there!
There are so many beautiful treks along the Appalachian Trail in our area, and many other awesome hikes from Norfolk to Salisbury, and further north into Great Barrington. Let us know if you want any suggestions!
A great drive-in movie theatre with a full restaurant that plays 2 movies every weekend night starting at sundown (kid friendly movie first around 8pm, followed by a movie for adults). Check out their showtimes closer to the date!
A racetrack in nearby Lakeville that is considered "the most significantly historic road racing circuit in North America." We've never been, but apparently there is an event Sunday August 15.
Great Barrington is an awesome, quaint and hip little mountain town in the heart of the Berkshire Mountain area of Massachusetts, about a 35 minute drive north of Dennis Hill. There are great restaurants, funky gift shops, crystal stores, and even a couple legal recreational cannabis dispensaries. The town is a nearby hippie mecca! If you feel like exploring, be on the lookout for some great hiking trails along the drive up!
