Our love story technically started in 2016…before it came to a raging halt. When Nicole first moved to Boston after graduating from college, she accompanied her roommate on a first date, as a good friend usually does. It was there that she met Chris, who ironically enough was her roommate's date's roommate. While Nicole's roommate, Rachel (bridesmaid) and Chris's roommate, Billy (bestman) hit it off, the same couldn't be said for Chris and Nicole. Let's just say it wasn't exactly love at first sight for either of them. On April 8, 2017, after not crossing paths again for almost a year, Chris and Nicole reuinted when those aforementioned roommates brought their respective group of friends to a popular dance bar in downtown Boston. Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe it was all of the millennial females hitting on Chris because he looked like Ross from FRIENDS, but something (probably just timing), was different for these two this time around. So totally against her character, Nicole made the first move on Chris, and then Chris made all the moves after that...

Every summer for the last four years, Chris and Nicole have taken a trip all the way down the southern tip of New Jersey, to a little island called Avalon. It quickly became what Nicole now calls her “happy place”, and there was no better proposal spot than here, right by the water. After a casual bike ride around the island on an unsuspecting Saturday afternoon, Chris finally got down on one knee and popped the question to a very emotional and slightly dumbfounded Nicole. Once her knees stopped buckling, they were able to ride back to the house and share the news with friends and family...most of whom had already known for months.
