Cabin Rental
Our favorite way to experience the Northwoods of Wisconsin is by staying in a cabin on the lake. There are plenty of options for groups of all sizes available through Airbnb, VRBO, and Vacasa. While the wedding will take place on the Manitowish Waters chain of lakes, there are also great cabin options in the nearby towns listed above. If you and your group are interested in this experience, we recommend booking as soon as possible. July is the busiest time of year up north, and cabins tend to get rented well in advance.

We’ve reserved a block of rooms for our guests from Friday, July 18th to Sunday, July 19th under "Van Oost / Niemeyer Wedding." You’re welcome to adjust your stay based on availability. To book, please call the hotel directly and mention our names—do not book through the website as this won’t confirm your reservation as part of our guest count. For added convenience, we will have a shuttle running to and from the wedding for guests staying at this hotel. Please note that any unbooked rooms will be released to the public after June 1st, so make sure to reserve your room before then.

When we say "Up North," we really mean UP NORTH! This is a very secluded area, so we highly recommend driving or carpooling with your group, as there is no public transportation or rideshare services available. You will need a car to get around. If having a car isn’t possible for your stay, we suggest booking accommodations in Minocqua. It's a more tourist-friendly town and may offer more options for taxis or rideshare services.

Rhinelander - Oneida County Airport
You can fly to this airport from nearly anywhere with a layover. It's located about an hour from Manitowish Waters and offers rental cars on-site through most major rental car companies.

Gogebic - Iron County Airport
This airport is located just over the border in Michigan, about an hour from Manitowish Waters. It’s a small airport, with flights only to and from O'Hare and Minneapolis. For pricing and flight schedules, please visit their website. Rental cars are available through Red's Rental Cars, and can be booked directly online.
