We think the best way to travel and explore the Northwoods is by boat! Whether you want to rent a fishing boat to catch some walleye or a pontoon for a sunset cruise, there are plenty of rental options to fit your needs. There are miles of beautiful bike trails winding through the Northwoods, making biking a great way to explore. Whether you rent a bike or bring your own, it's a fun option for getting around. If you prefer to be on the water without a boat, you can rent canoes, kayaks, or even tubes to float down the Manitowish River. Adventure Company is one of the many places offering these rentals.

Manitowish Waters Skiing Skeeters Water Ski Show

13862 Rest Lake Park Rd., Manitowish Waters, IL 54545

Every Wednesday and Saturday at 7PM. Fun, fast and exciting, the Skeeters perform a wide array of acts during their shows including ballet, pyramids, jumping, doubles, and trick skiing of all types. Watch as club members ski using only ping pong paddles, shoe skis, a single canoe paddle, and even human skis. There is always Slalom skiing, and around the boat skiing. Lots of barefoot water skiing. Frontwards, backwards, two skis or no skis. The Skiing Skeeters put on a great show that everyone can enjoy.

Music in the Park

Koller Park - Sundays 4PM-6PM Come by boat, car, foot or bike every Sunday late May through early September for free Music in the Park! Concessions are available and provided by area non-profit organizations or feel free to use one of the many grills available throughout Koller Park. The atmosphere is electric as everyone enjoys music lakeside in one of the area’s most beautiful parks.

Site of John Dillinger and the Dillinger Gang’s epic shootout with the F.B.I., the Lodge is also the modern day filming location for the Universal Studios film starring Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, Public Enemies. Known for great food and drink since the 1920’s! Step back in history at the Lodge, and remember….Dillinger only left because he had to!
