(Kiva State St. front entrance is through Satellite SB restaurant on State St. After 9pm please enter and exit via the back patio entrance around the block.) Join us to kick off a magical weekend in Santa Barbara with an indoor-outdoor cocktail reception. We will get the party started under the bistro lights and in the "Jungle Room" where we will be enjoying Santa Barbara's own DJ Darla providing a vibe inspired by some of the grooms' favorite music while guests enjoy a tasty spread, including a mojito bar, grilled cheese and quesadillas fresh off the grill, as well as a variety of desserts (including handmade churros!).

Guest Access to the Zoo

Our wedding guests have the option to enjoy complementary access to the zoo during the last hour before it closes to the public. The Santa Barbara Zoo is home to 146 species of mammals, reptiles, birds and insects. More than 500 animals are exhibited in open, naturalistic habitats. Walk through the lush botanic gardens and enjoy the local wine and beer available for purchase!

Enjoy a a refreshment (beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options will be served) and please arrive in time to be seated and comfortable for the 5:00pm ceremony. Hydrate and wear some sunscreen so we can enjoy an unforgettable weekend together! Known as one of the world’s most beautiful zoos, the Santa Barbara Zoo is located on 30 acres of lush botanic gardens overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Andree Clark Bird Refuge, and Santa Ynez Mountains. We can't wait to tie the knot there and share a magical evening with you! It can get chilly in the evenings in Santa Barbara in May so bring an extra layer.

Come as you are! You can come in your wedding duds or change if you'd like to be more comfy.
Enjoy drinks, bites, and tunes while we keep the party going! Don't forget to get a wristband when leaving the wedding or entering the venue so you can take advantage of the pre-paid portion of the cash bar.

Brunch at the Zoo

Come soak up each other's company and some Santa Barbara sunshine while enjoying a hearty Southern (California) biscuit breakfast and mimosas before we part ways. For those sticking around post-Brunch the explore, you will have full access to the zoo and the grooms will likely lead a post-brunch walk to Santa Barbara's Funk Zone neighborhood to burn off some calories (followed by a little crawl to some of our favorite spots!)
