Closest Airport. 30 minute ride to Steamboat. Airport code: HDN. United and Southwest fly to HDN year round. Be sure to check www.southwest.com to see their flights since they only sell their flights directly on their website. Other airlines offer some flights in winter, but schedules vary. Be sure to book your rental car or shuttles in advance. They will not likely be available without a reservation upon arrival. Check with your hotel to see if they offer airport transfers. Do not rely on Uber/Lyft from the airport. It is a small, regional airport and they do not consistently operate near the airport.

3 hour ride to Steamboat Springs over mountain pass. Airport code: DEN We only recommend renting a car from Denver if you're comfortable potentially driving in the snow through the mountains. 4 wheel drive is required over the mountain passes when making rental car reservations. Snow falls in the Rockies through April, so it could happen on any day.

Eagle County Regional Airport

1 hour and 40 minute ride from Eagle County Regional Airport. Airport code: EGE Eagle County Regional offers some more flights than Hayden/Steamboat airport. They have rental cars available and shuttles can be researched on the link below. Be sure to reserve shuttles or rental cars ahead of time, they may not be available upon arrival. We recommend only driving from EGE if you're comfortable potentially driving in the snow and 4 wheel drive is required.
