An Air B&B House

Someone (not me) is looking into renting an Air B&B type house for Grandpa to stay in with better proximity to the race than Idaho Springs or Golden. We will have no gatherings at said place to avoid being bad guests again but, if you are interested in possibly staying there, we need an RSVP on that ASAP as the rentals go quickly and we’ll be aiming for a smaller or a single level and close place if no one else wants in. Currently we are assuming just Dan & Elizabeth and Grandpa Jim. If you are not one of those 3 and think you might want to stay with them, you need to confirm that soon.

On almost all the travel sites, you can get reservations with free cancellations here for $163. If you want to stay at a hotel though, this is nice, quiet inside, and they are really good with customer service. I can call and try to get a discount code if anyone is interested in my booking a block with the “event”.

Camper Rental or Camping Spot

There are many trailer rental websites out there. If you are going this route, also give a quick RSVP to let us know how many to expect for parking. We are going up early and setting up event areas that everyone will be able to get to so we need to know if you are planning to spread out on the mine dump plaza so we can be prepared. Also, if you rent a camper, the city of Golden has a good fill up/dump location that I believe is the most proximal to the mine.
