If you haven't gathered this yet - this is where we are having our fun wedding weekend! IslandWood was founded in 2000 as an environmental learning center created to improve access to meaningful, nature-based learning experiences for our region's children. In the nearly two decades since, we have expanded the ways our work is advancing innovative and inclusive education that fosters greater environmental health, a sustainable future, and social and ecological wellbeing for all.
Winslow - Dinner: Saturday, August 31st
This cute "island town" is the first place you'll encounter as you arrive on Bainbridge Island. Check out the local shops on your way through town. ALSO - plan on having a bite to eat here in town on Saturday night either before or after checking into Islandwood.
Pike Place Market
Check out the very first Starbucks, Beecher's Cheese, and the infamous "Gum Wall". Make sure to watch out for flying fish!
Space Needle
A true Seattle Icon! Take a quick ride up to the top for stunning 360 views of the city and mountains and islands, oh my! A must for any first-time visitors - located in The Seattle Center Bonus: Check out the Dale Chihuly Glass Museum next door!
Seattle Waterfront
Either before or after taking the ferry to Bainbridge Island, check out the Seattle Waterfront! Have some fresh salmon at Ivar's, check out the Seattle Aquarium or go for a ride on the Seattle Great Wheel.
Bill Speidel's Underground Tour
