We first met in Stuart's hometown of Seattle, after Alex moved there for work and a new adventure. We met through mutual friends - in fact, it was our dear friend Sarah (who will be officiating our wedding) who first introduced us, and we can't thank her enough!

Alex proposed to Stuart with the help of our two adorable nieces, Dani and Joey, at 11:11am on November the 11th. The significance of the date goes all the way back to Stuart's charming announcements of "eleven-eleven, make a wish!" every time the clock strikes 11:11. Alex asked Stuart to make his wish come true - to marry him - and he said "YES!"

We are excited to welcome you all to our fun-filled, "adult-camp" wedding weekend! Seattle is a very special place for both of us and we are looking forward to creating new memories with all of you. Islandwood is a 255-acre non-profit outdoor learning center that strives to inspire lifelong environmental and community stewardship. We have exclusive use of the whole property throughout the weekend - we think it's a pretty special place and we can't wait for you to see why!
