Pacific Edge Hotel

This is where we will be staying the night before and the night of the wedding. Laguna Beach is a 10 minute drive from Salt Creek Beach and the hotel itself is situated directly on the beach. Their ocean view rooms are overlooking the sand and ocean! We chose not to secure a room block here, but would love for as many of you who can stay here to please do so!

Holiday Inn Laguna Beach

This boutique hotel is across the street from Pacific Edge Hotel (where we'll be staying!) This part of Laguna Beach is in the middle of everything: within walking distance of restaurants, museums, shops, and (of course) the beach. This is not a room block, we were only able to get a group rate here. What this means is that as long as a minimum of ten rooms get booked, they will uphold the group rate. If fewer than ten rooms get booked, however, the cost will be the rack rate. This also means that they're not holding any rooms for us, so it's a first come, first serve process. Group Rate: $204 per night Rack Rate: $229 per night -Must call the hotel, ask for group reservations, mention Motter-Stevens Wedding. -Parking is $15.00 per day (one car per room) -The rates quoted are with two adults, each additional person is $10.00 extra.

Blue Lantern Inn

This a very cute, well-reviewed Bed and Breakfast very close to Salt Creek Beach. They're in the $300+/night range and offer very nice amenities. They do not offer room blocks here, but we wanted to provide them as an option because they have such great reviews.

We highly recommend using this website (or something similar). There are a lot of options around the area. Dana Point and Laguna Beach are in a part of Southern California known as Orange County (or the OC). Most of these OC coastal towns are very close to each other, so you don't necessarily need to focus your search solely on the two areas we've listed on our website. Also, keep in mind that we won't be in the OC area until the day before and for a few days after. If you have time, please let us know if you'll be stopping in San Diego beforehand (that's where we live)!

Flight

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

LAX is the closest airport to our wedding venue- and most likely where you'll find the most affordable flights for international travel into Southern California. It's about an hour drive from Salt Creek Beach and almost two hours from San Diego. Depending on how much time you have, you may want to stick to the Los Angeles area for your duration in California.

San Diego International Airport (SAN)

SAN is the closest airport to where we live in San Diego (it's about a 10 minute drive our apartment!) International flights aren't quite as affordable flying into SAN as they are into LAX. But it is an option! Plus, it's an hour drive from Salt Creek Beach. It really depends on what type of deals you can find and where you want to spend the bulk of your time while you're visiting Southern California!

Train

Pacific Surfliner Train- Amtrak

Although public transportation isn't great or reliable locally in either Los Angeles or San Diego, there is a nice option for riding between Los Angeles and San Diego. This route with Amtrak offers really beautiful coastal views and takes about 3 hours (compared to 2 hours driving).

Cab Information

We will be adding reputable local cab companies and their numbers closer to the date. However, please note that ride share apps like Uber and Lyft are popular and easily accessible in both LA and SD.
