Mieko

Maid of Honor

Mieko and Andee became friends in 7th grade while attending Bowdish Middle School. Andee received a medicine ball to the face in gym class and Mieko came to her rescue. From there, a forever friendship was born. Mieko and Andee share a love of ice cream, good design, crafting, Disney movies, Harry Potter, and too many things to list. Despite living in different cities, Mieko and Andee have a FaceTime date every three weeks which typically lasts until they are falling asleep.

Tiffany

Homie of Honor

Tiffany grew up down the street from Alex, and they've been friends since high school. Even though they lived far apart for several years through college, the bond they made early in life stands the test of time. Alex was never blessed with a sister of his own, but Tiffany might as well be. Thought of a 'best man' never crossed even his mind; the answer is simple.

Kay

Bridesmaid

Kay and Andee met in 2018 when they were attending a concert with mutual friends. Bonding over their love of live music, working for non-profits, plants, and interior design, these two became close. Kay and Andee have seen much live music shows since, gone camping, attended galas and events, and helped each other's house plant collection grow. Andee recently stood next to Kay in her marriage to her husband Dan, and she can't for Kay to do the same for her and Alex.

Adam

Groomsman

Adam and Alex became friends the moment they met in 2008, and there has been no shortage of laughter since. They bonded over craft beer and thick guitar riffs, all the while making his now wife Tiffany roll her eyes with their antics. Alex performed Adam and Tiffany's wedding ceremony in 2013, so it is only fitting they're both taking part in this wedding as well.

Genevieve

Bridesmaid

Andee and Genevieve met at the beginning of 2020 right as the world began to shut down for COVID 19 with their first friend date being coffee and walk to the deserted Pike Place Market. Gen Gen (as Andee affectionately calls her) was given Andee's number from a mutual contact in the Type 1 Diabetes community. When Gen first walked up to Andee, she gave her an enthusiastic double-handed wave, both diabadass ladies were wearing plaid coats, and it was a vibe match made in heaven. It was a friendship born from a common superpower (type 1 diabetes + plaid) and quickly grew into a loving sisterhood.

Michael

Groomsman

Alex and Michael met at a Mariners game for a double date. Alex knew Michael's girlfriend Sarah through a mutual friend, and both being somewhat nerdy, she thought the two of them should be friends. At the game they chatted about Physics and Richard Feynman as nerds do, and have been close ever since!
