Wedding July 5th 2025
The Japanese Garden is a beautiful, intimate, hidden gem on the campus of Cal State Long Beach. It was a lovely backdrop drop to our wedding day. Omar was easy to communicate with and was always prompt in getting back to us with answers to our questions and helped us with any concerns we had. He and his staff helped make our blessed day better than we could have ever imagined. The Grand catering was fantastic and many of our guest continue to comment on how delicious the food was. We highly recommend this majestic place for your special event.
Destination Location
The CSULB Japanese Garden was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the staff was quick, insightful, and provided detailed responses to our questions. The venue itself has a quiet, chic, and calming atmosphere, allowing the natural beauty of the gardens to shine. They were extremely accommodating, helping my children take advantage of all the activities available. Under the new management, they were able to work with me much closer than any other venue I had considered. Omar in particular was a pleasure to work with, and their pricing was very fair. I would highly recommend the CSULB Japanese Garden to any couple looking for a serene, nature-inspired setting for their special day.

The CSULB Japanese Garden is a hidden gem for weddings and events. Their communication style is prompt, professional, and polite - they are clearly invested in making your event a success. The venue itself is gorgeous, with a clean and quiet atmosphere that provides the perfect backdrop for a special day. As a repeat customer over the past 2 years, I've noticed a significant improvement in the quality of events since the new ownership took over. They are attentive to every detail and wonderful hosts. The CSULB Japanese Garden is also budget-friendly, making it an excellent value for couples planning their wedding.
