Hi, I’m Melissa Beth, the photographer behind Vows & Hallows. My love for photography started with a stack of Polaroids and grew into a lifelong passion for telling stories through images. Being a mom has only deepened that passion, because I know how quickly time slips away and how important it is to hold on to the little things. That’s why I do what I do: to help you preserve your story in a way that feels natural, timeless, and true to you.

You want photos that capture the laughter, the love, and the real moments of your wedding day, not just perfectly posed portraits.     Melissa was absolutely amazing to work with! From the very beginning, she was responsive, professional, and incredibly easy to communicate with. No matter the time of day, she always answered my questions and texts promptly, which made the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. On our wedding day, Melissa arrived on time and was fully engaged from start to finish. She did a wonderful job helping my husband and me feel comfortable in front of the camera, guiding us through poses while also capturing the natural, candid moments in between. Her attention to detail and ability to catch genuine emotions truly stood out. One of the things we appreciated most was how quickly she delivered sneak peeks. We received a handful of photos the very next day, and we absolutely love them! Seeing those beautiful images so soon after our wedding was such a special treat. Melissa exceeded our expectations in every way, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented, reliable, and personable photographer.     Wonderful!

    Melissa is the best

    Melissa was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding day. From the very first interaction, their communication style was fast, sweet and incredibly helpful, they answered all of our questions thoroughly and made the entire process seamless. The quality of their work is truly beautiful, with clear, creative photos that captured all the special moments of our day. Melissa was especially helpful in planning and organizing our portrait session, ensuring we didn't miss a beat of our cocktail hour. I wasn't sure about booking them at first due to having fewer reviews than some other vendors, but I'm so glad I took a chance. I can't recommend them enough and the photos we have are better than I ever could have imagined.

    Exceptional

    Beautiful work, start to finish

    I was so nervous I'd be uncomfortable and all of my photos would come out looking stiff and unnatural, but I didn't need to worry at ALL. Melissa made me feel comfortable from our first meeting, and managed to capture all of the beautifully posed shots I wanted along with the more casual and quirky ones, too.

Scheduling photography services is simple and transparent. Just contact me by phone, email, or my website, and let me know what kind of session you're interested in. I will send you a wedding experience guide to give you an idea of what it's like to work with me, more information on inclusions, albums, and my overall process. I'll walk you through the steps, we will talk about your needs and vision, and we will make a plan that supports you best.
To secure your date, a 20% retainer is required.
I always send around 10 sneak peek images within 24 hours of your session or event. For portrait sessions and elopements and/or micro weddings, all images are full edited and ready to download from your private online gallery within 1-2 weeks. For larger weddings, all images are returned within 4-6 weeks depending on volume. In cases of high volume, I upload at least 50 fully edited images for you to enjoy by week 4 while you wait for the remainder. The truth is, I'm just excited for you to see your photos as you are to get them! :)
For a second photographer, I only use people I know personally. I have one photographer I shoot with routinely and can provide samples of their work on request.
Absolutely! Every wedding package includes access to a private online gallery where you can download, share, and order professional-quality prints directly through my partnered print lab. The prints are made on archival paper designed to last a lifetime, ensuring that your memories stay as vivid as the day they were captured. Most collections also include a print credit. For couples who value tangible heirlooms, my Heirloom Albums are fully customizable crafted with thick, lay-flat pages and feature materials / finishes you choose during your design appointment.
You’re not alone! Most of my couples say this at first. I’ll guide you with natural prompts and fun interactions so you feel relaxed, and the real smiles come through.
