Wedding photography shouldn't be an investment. When trying to book my own wedding photographer, I noticed that pages listing costs were never called "prices," never "rates" -- always "investment," a word that brings to mind loans, savings, risk. A house is an investment. A car is an investment. Photos of your wedding day? Those should be a given. I became a wedding photographer because I believe beautiful photos should be accessible for all couples. That's why I charge by the hour--so you can build a package that works for you.
With a background in fine art and travel photography, my approach to wedding photography is more journalistic and spontaneous. I'm also not afraid of more unconventional shoots. I've scrambled down rocks with brides and grooms at state parks, photographed couples with their favorite museum pieces, and waded in the bay to get that perfect shot. Whether your wedding/engagement is traditional or adventurous, I can guarantee a shoot that's authentic, original, and lots of fun!

Small Weddings and Elopements

Intimate weddings are my favorite -- in fact, I had one myself! I would love to join you on your special day as you celebrate with your closest friends and family. My rate is $400 an hour, and I have no time minimum. If you only want an hour of photography, or even just thirty minutes, that's no problem. Please note that I am currently only offering lead photographer services on weddings that can be covered by a single photographer, so no more than 75 guests.

Engagement sessions are a great way to shake off any camera shyness before the big day, not to mention you'll have dreamy photos for your save the dates. A thirty minute session gives you plenty of time to experiment with poses and backdrops in a location of your choice. If you're unsure where you'd like to be photographed, no worries -- I'm full of ideas and happy to help!

Engagement sessions are a great way to shake off any camera shyness before the big day, not to mention you'll have dreamy photos for your save the dates. While engagement photos can be completed in thirty minutes to an hour, some brides prefer longer sessions. Maybe you want to fit in several location changes or switch outfits. Choosing Aleyna Rentz Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. Aleyna jumped right in taking photos as soon as she arrived on our wedding day! She was communicative in advance and such a calm, pleasant, and unobtrusive presence on the day-of. Truly there are not enough nice things to say about Aleyna!!!! First of all, I really appreciated how transparent her prices were. It's all there on zola and her website. Nothing hidden or sneaky or added on later - her prices are not only exactly as advertised but criminally reasonable. When it comes to something like an engagement shoot (which is what we hired Aleyna for), she was able to capture the ideal balance between staying true to her own style as a photographer and achieving the vision we had in mind for our photos. She met us at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore and it felt both like a professional photo shoot and like a fun afternoon at my favorite museum. She followed us around, chatted with us, and captured a ridiculous amount of high-quality photos. And the photos... the photos!!!!! Seriously they came out like artwork! When I first looked at them I felt like I should be looking at them in the museum! She gave us so many perfect, stunning photos that were even better than the Pinterest board I showed her. Originally I planned on selecting a few stand out photos from the shoot and keeping the rest digital, but she did such a fabulous amazing show-stopping incredible job that I plan on making them into a photo book and using it as a guest book for the wedding. My Maid of Honor is using them as decor for the bridal shower. They're all over the website. People who see them GASP! TL;DR I am obsessed with the photos that Aleyna gave me and going forward will be hiring her anytime I need a photographer (don't mind me just googling excuses to hire a photographer). Please book Aleyna immediately and never look back!!!!!!!!
