    Bad Experience

    We hired Abigail Espy Photography to photograph our wedding. Unfortunately, our experience with her ended up being extremely disappointing. Abigail did not personally show up on our wedding day and instead sent other photographers to cover our wedding. We were offered a 450 refund related to her not being there, which we did eventually receive, but it took months and numerous follow-ups to actually get it. Communication after the wedding was one of our biggest issues. There were multiple times I would message her and receive no response, and I would have to reach out again days or sometimes even weeks later. We were also given timelines and told things would be taken care of, only to have those timelines pass and have to follow up again ourselves. We did eventually receive our photos and wedding video, and I want to be fair in saying that we are thankful to have them. However, what ultimately caused us to completely lose trust in her was something much more concerning. During this process, Abigail told us that she had undergone an emergency C-section, had been placed in an induced coma, and had a baby in the NICU in July. Of course, when we were told this, we were incredibly understanding and gave her a tremendous amount of grace. Wedding photos, a video, and a refund obviously seemed insignificant compared with what we believed she and her family were going through. We have now seen a public post from her indicating that she gave birth to her baby last week, in September. Because this appears completely inconsistent with what she specifically told us in July, we are left extremely confused and, frankly, no longer know what information we received from her throughout this process was truthful. We understand that emergencies happen, timelines change, and people get behind. We would have been understanding if we had simply been told that she needed more time. Unfortunately, the repeated lack of communication, missed timelines, constant need for us to follow up, and ultimately the serious questions we now have about the information we were given completely destroyed our trust. While we are thankful that we ultimately received our photos, video, and refund, the experience it took to get there was not one we would want another couple to go through. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Abigail Espy Photography.

    Amazing
