NY Wedding Rabbi Lev Herrnson serves individuals and couples from Reform, Conservative and unaffiliated families. He has great sensitivity to the challenges of being Jewish in the modern world—because of his own Jewish journey and varied experiences--and therefore welcomes women and men from all walks of Jewish life. His philosophy reflects openness to innovation and respect for tradition. Rabbi Lev officiates at celebrations in the NY area and at destination locations.

Personalization! While my method isn't for everyone, the end result speaks for itself: Your family and guests will say, "Wow! That was lovely. The ceremony was warm, loving and fun, and the rabbi really knew them!" As such ,we will spend upwards of 7-10 hours together crafting a highly personal event that reflects who you are as individuals and as a couple! And, of course, you will learn a lot about Jewish weddings along the way. From selection of your ketubah, to the crafting of a wedding ceremony that speaks about your values, I offer you a complete package experience.

    Rabbi Lev is exceptionally professional and dedicated. From our initial meeting, it was clear that he was the ideal person to officiate our wedding. He invested meaningful time in getting to know us both as a couple and as individuals. We appreciated our conversations with him and the thoughtful discussions we shared. During the ceremony, Rabbi Lev skillfully conveyed our story, engaged our guests, and brought our vision to life.     We highly recommend having Rabbi Lev officiate at your wedding–he was incredibly helpful, organized, and paitent when it came to both the wedding prep and day of ceremonies. We had many friends (Jewish and not) mention how much they loved the ceremony and his style. Rabbi Lev also takes the time to really get to know you before the actual wedding so it doesn't feel like you are strangers. There is nothing we would change about our experience!

    We had the absolute pleasure of having Rabbi Lev officiate our wedding, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful, warm, and engaging presence to lead us through such a meaningful day. From the very beginning, he took the time to really get to know us meeting with us multiple times over Zoom and then in person leading up to the wedding. He made us feel seen and understood, and he helped shape a ceremony that felt uniquely “us.” As someone who had recently converted to Judaism, I was especially grateful for how inclusive and welcoming Rabbi Lev was not just to me, but to my entire family, many of whom were unfamiliar with Jewish traditions.
