Seriously this was one of our best decisions in wedding planning. This venue has it ALL! We were looking for mountain views, outdoor ceremony with indoor reception, bring your own beer/booze (with hired legal bartender and correct licensing), bring your own food with no additional charge, on-site his&hers changing rooms, enough room for 100 people with a dance floor, and a cute cabin vibe. Not only did Faithbrooke meet all our requirements, it blew our expectations away! Faithbrooke is pretty much the only affordable, reasonable venue left in the greater DC/Shenandoah area that still is absolutely gorgeous and appears very high-end. The best part was Cort's kind, attentive, responsive customer service. He was truly incredible to work with, always easy to reach (which was so important), and worked with any special circumstances we had. They are more than accommodating here, so don't wait....seriously....book with Faithbrooke!!!!!

Showalter’s Orchard

5.0

Timberville, VA
  • Select services
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $5,300

Over the years, we've enjoyed sharing our farm with our friends and family for their uniquely beautiful weddings. Seeing our extraordinary aerie from their perspective reminded us to take in how special it is, and it inspired us to redesign and renovate a former greenhouse. We’ve created a belvedere of sorts with walls of windows that make a feature of our wondrous view of the Shenandoah Valley.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has onsite accommodations
  • Surrounded by beautiful vineyards
  • Rustic-chic setting

Venue considerations

  • Does not provide event staff
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • Does not have a dance floor
Showalter’s was one of two venues on our short list, and we’re very glad we decided to go with them. We wanted a mountain view during the ceremony and the terrace was absolutely perfect. The greenhouse is gorgeous and looks amazing both in person and in photographs and was the perfect backdrop. We served cider and apple cider donuts and our guests loved both. It felt so unique and special! Working with everyone at the venue was incredibly easy, and they were so kind and welcoming to us and felt like they really wanted to make sure our day went well. We booked all of the AirBnBs on the property and would definitely recommend doing so. The “bridal” suite off of the Greenhouse was great for staging and getting a moment away during the wedding, having the extra space for actually getting ready was a very good choice (especially with larger wedding parties and lots of people doing hair and makeup). We also stayed in one of the AirBnBs the night before and afterwards, and being on the property was incredibly convenient as hotels in Harrisonburg are a bit of a hike. The AirBnBs were cute and worked great for our purposes! We stayed in one of the AirBnBs through to the Monday after our Saturday wedding which was great and made it so that we didn’t have to rush getting everything out the morning after the wedding. Nestled on the first ridge of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northern Virginia Wine Country, our tasting room is located 951 feet above sea level, with panoramic views of the gorgeous Loudoun Valley. Sip a glass of your favorite wine while overlooking the verdant vines that cling to the sun-kissed mountainside, the vast orchards, and our family farm that spreads below. It is this terroir that makes our wines truly unique among Virginia wineries. As a farm winery, we find joy in life’s simple pleasures, and when the bees flit from the cherry orchard or black raspberries to the grape vines, we envision the cherry overtones and notes of raspberry that will grace the next vintage. As you take in the breathtaking view from our tasting room or expansive patio, we hope you feel the connection to the dirt, sun, and atmosphere that stir the farming soul and elevate your spirit, just as it has to us.

Kalero Vineyard is the wedding venue dreams are made of! Ann, the owner, went above and beyond to make our wedding planning effortless, even with the added challenge of being overseas. The venue itself is a visual masterpiece, providing a breathtaking backdrop for every moment of our special day. The natural beauty of Kalero Vineyard translates perfectly into stunning photographs. We can't forget to mention the wonderful selection of wine that added to the overall experience. Our guests loved it! Breaux was the most beautiful venue for our wedding! It was extremely welcoming for a queer wedding and we enjoyed working with Robin and Jordan. The venue was well-organized and had great suggestions for local vendors to work with. We wound up really appreciating their mandatory final walkthrough with our caterer and coordinator - it made us feel much better about the flow of the wedding on the day of. They let us supply our own non-wine alcohol, which helped us manage costs. We would highly recommend them!
