This magnificent Georgian-style home was built in 1914 for Cornelius Vanderbilt Truitt, a financier, and businessperson, by P. Thornton Marye, whose most famous project was the design of The Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta. In 1937, the house was purchased by Nasour and Mary Mansour, the first generation of dry goods merchants known regionally for their Mansour’s Department Stores, first in LaGrange and then in other major cities in the region. The Truitt Vanderbilt Club has an incredible array of unique and experiential rooms, nooks, porches, crannies, lawns, and one-of-kind spots to make your special event very special. The Estate at Elegant Occasions offers a southern wedding destination, historic mansion, climate-controlled barn, multiple outdoor ceremony sites, vineyard and waterfall for your wedding day. Couples will enjoy a private bride and groom's suite and full use of the estate.

Couples really love all the outdoor space at our venue. Guests are invited to enjoy the space as well as photographers to take pictures in so many areas of the venue. We also have a B and B in the mansion and have a package that includes an overnight for the Bride and Groom as well as 2 guests with breakfast! This package comes with professional planning and coordinating as well as our in house decor package. We also have throne chairs, loungers and other decor that can be rented for the big day!
