The Historical Society of Pennsylvania is Philadelphia's Library of American History and contains over 21 million historic documents covering every topic imaginable. HSP can create a personalized experience that will thrill and engage your guests! HSP docents can pull historic documents from their enormous collection and display a curated selection of treasures selected specifically for your event. Guests can view and learn about these documents in The Reading Room, which can also host dinners for up to 60 people. Upstairs, the newly renovated Patterson Room can host up to 150 guests for seated receptions.

Hey! I’m Elizabeth. I’m a full time freelance photographer currently living in Philadelphia. I was born in Chicago and first started taking photos on my dad’s little point and shoot when I was about 10. Though photography was my first love, I decided to pursue a more “practical” college degree and studied international politics focusing on comparative cultural and economic systems of Eurasia (my degree is currently collecting dust beautifully on my shelf).The whole time, I was doing more and more photography as a creative outlet to the point where I realized I should follow my passion for it and go all in. The NSCDA/PA owns its Headquarters House located at 1630 Latimer Street in Philadelphia. Built by and for the Dames under the leadership of Mrs. James Starr, Jr., the house has served as the Dames home since its completion in 1923. The building was designed by the Philadelphia Architectural firm Ritter and Shay. Marion Coffin, one of the first female landscape architects, was instrumental in desgining the garden which is a four seasons delight to all who use the house. Headquarters is the setting for Philadelphia Stated Meetings, the meetings of the Board of Managers and its Committees, and for the Society's Annual meeting. The archives of the Society, including lineage papers of our members, both living and deceased, are housed here as well. Headquarters is also available to the general public to rent for weddings and events.
