Most days you can find me dancing in the kitchen with my husband John, exploring trails of a local park, watching Netflix, soaking in as many puppy cuddles as our little dachshund Addi will allow, or editing away with the biggest glass of green tea by my side. I am a believer holding hands after 50 years of marriage, snuggling up on the couch even if it’s a little too small, kisses goodnight no matter how late, and holding on tight to the thought of forever.

I am fascinated with human connection. I truly believe there is nothing more powerful than love, soul, humanity, care, kindness, sunlight and curiosity to live. Leaving a legacy by creating timeless, authentic and emotional images of your story.

Based just outside of Philadelphia, I'm always ready to travel. I'm usually up for anything, interested in everything, and willing to break a sweat to ensure what you love is documented extraordinarily. I specialize in life events and visual storytelling; I’m interested in creating something real for you. Vibrant, honest images with emotional impact. The weird, the wild, and the whimsical are all my forte.

My favorite images are almost always the moments through your wedding day that happen organically. I love the moment that the bride and groom see each other for the first time, whether that is before the ceremony or when the bride walks down the aisle. If you decide to see each other before the ceremony, I will set you up in a spot with great light, and then shoot from afar with a long lens. This is your moment and not one that should be posed or interfered with. Of course, there will be some posed photos throughout the day, but I promise that you will not be smiling at the camera for lengthy periods of time.

I live and work in the greater Philadelphia area, but I am always looking for new and bigger adventures! I pride myself on not only my attention to detail but my passion and experience in studying art history to consistently compose compelling, narrative, and engaging photographs.

My name is Gene. I’m a passionate creative who uses photography to meet interesting people and tell their stories. What makes me unique is my Russian heritage, my design sensibility and the passion for music and visuals. I began capturing images on film at the age of 22 when I discovered my dad's old Pentax in the attic. The limited amount of images on a roll of film forced me to put my camera phone down and really observe the beauty in the world, and the people around me.
