“One of my best friends is also a part-time wedding photographer, and she often works with Nick. She photographed my brother's wedding with Nick as her second shooter, and all the photos turned out amazing. When I asked her who I should pick for my wedding photographer (since she was my maid of honor), she immediately recommended Nick and put us in contact. He was very professional during every interaction and always responded promptly. We opted for the package that had a second shooter, included an engagement shoot, and was for a 10-hour day. The quality of his photos for the price is unmatched. It was by far the best investment of the wedding. We did the engagement shoot about a month before the wedding, and he let us pick the locations. The pictures were also returned within the same week. It is well worth doing the engagement shoot because it gives you the opportunity to figure out how each other works, and it made our wedding day that much more relaxing and wonderful. He and his second shooter arrived early on the wedding day and immediately went to work scoping out shooting locations and getting detail shots. He helped make sure we were on time during the morning and afternoon leading up to the ceremony without making me feel rushed at any time. His second shooter was the perfect complement to his personality, which helped all our pictures look stunning while our personalities and real smiles were shining through. We got sneak peek pictures the day after the wedding, and the rest of the portfolio was ready 6 weeks later, which was very fast for someone with a full-time job outside of photography. He kept us updated on when pictures would be ready, which was highly appreciated. When the portfolio was ready, he scheduled a Zoom call with us to show us how to work the website and give us an opportunity to ask any final questions before the site was published. It was a nice personal touch to closing out that chapter of the wedding. Everyone who has looked at the pictures have said how stunning and beautiful they turned out! We cannot wait to have our favorites printed and hanging on our walls to look at for the rest of our lives. We highly recommend Nick!”

“We hired Annika for our wedding, and while there were some wonderful aspects of our experience, there were a few areas where we felt a bit let down. Firstly, Annika is very talented and captured some beautiful moments from our day. The photos we received were of high quality, and we can see the pure artistry in the work. However, there were a few things that could have made the experience better for us. We were a bit disappointed that our wedding wasn't showcased on their platforms, i.e. Instagram etc, especially since we noticed there were no African American couples/brides featured, and brides following the months after us were also posted instead. Representation is important to us, and it would have meant a lot to see our celebration included. Also, would help show her portfolio that she can capture all beautiful skin tones well! Additionally, there were a few key shots we had specifically requested that were missed, including the dramatic sunset shot, which was really really really important to us. We did get awesome beach photos though. We also felt that more guidance on posing and smiling would have been really helpful, as we sometimes weren’t sure what to do in front of the camera. There were shots where my hair was in the way, the bouquet wasn't needed and overpowered my dress, sunglasses weren't needed in certain shots, and sweat was everywhere. Overall, Annika is a skilled photographer, and we do appreciate the beautiful photos we received. She was able to help capture the day With a few improvements in communication and inclusivity, the experience could have been even better.”

I've always been a creator of art since a little girl. My passion for photography started after becoming a mother, wanting to document my kids as they grow. Initially I learned photo editing and then I decided to my camera to a DSLR. Game changer! Once I became better with both shooting and editing, friends and family would want me to take their photos. When my small side photography gig starting booming, I had to make a decision to leave the medical field and pursue a career that I knew I would love. Doing this professionally for 15 years has allowed me to support my family and it's taken me to new travel destinations which I'm obsessed!
