Our tree-lined entrance welcomes you to our magnificent property, setting the stage for a fairytale wedding. Hold your ceremony indoors in one of our stunning rooms, or outside in the elegant Rose Garden and private gazebo. Have your reception in our magnificent ballroom, one of our smaller, more intimate rooms or our Al Fresco pavilion—all ideal for your special celebration. Your guests will revel in our gracious hospitality, exceptional onsite catering, and flawless service.

Open Farmhouse is located on 300 acres of protected land in Redding, Connecticut. Just an hour and a half drive from New York City, it’s easily accessible by car or short shuttle from metro north. As part of a working farm, guests experience farm fresh produce, bucolic views and engagement with the land. Built in 1840, the historic Federal Style house sits at the center of the farm, with sweeping views of the surrounding fields and forests. Restored true to its era, it’s a grand yet inviting space for gatherings of 10 to 50 people. Five private bedrooms provide a good night’s sleep, with simple furnishings and comfortable mattresses. Three shared bathrooms allow everyone to get ready for the day. All linens and towels provided. Our vision is to create a place that fosters connection to the land, strengthens community, and plants seeds for cultural renewal.
