St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (aka Old St. Andrew's) was designed by architect Robert S. Schuyler in the Gothic Revival style. Schuyler also designed St. Peter's Church in Fernandina, built in 1881, as well as chapels in Waldo, Fairbanks, Pablo Beach, and Lake Santa Fe. St. Andrew's was built in 1887 on a single level using brick masonry and contained a massive front corner tower with louvered belfry and steep spire roof. It stood at 317 Florida Avenue, now 317 A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard. St. Andrew's was the only major church in the city that survived the Great Fire of 1901.

For a 100-guest wedding in Jacksonville, you're looking at a total budget of $24,600 to $36,900, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index. Venues typically account for about 16% of that total.

Based on Zola marketplace data, small wedding venues in Jacksonville have a median starting price of $2,500, with most ranging from $1,000 to $5,440. Beyond the venue rental, plan to allocate budget for:

  • Catering: $3,901
  • Florists: $3,901
  • Bar Services: $3,121

Starting with an affordable venue gives you flexibility to invest more in the details that matter most to your celebration.

Jacksonville's small venue landscape breaks down into two main categories.

Medium-capacity venues (51–150 guests) are ideal if you're planning an intimate but not tiny celebration. These 11 venues start from $2,711 on average and align well with mid-sized budgets of $24,600 to $36,900.

Larger small venues (150+ guests) offer more flexibility for expanded guest lists. With 12 options starting from $3,884, they work within budgets ranging from $33,700 to $62,800 depending on your final headcount.

Whether you're hosting 75 close friends or 200 loved ones, Jacksonville's marketplace offers small venues that won't leave you choosing between intimacy and affordability.

Yes—Jacksonville's most charming wedding neighborhoods are within easy reach of downtown.

San Marco is known for its historic character and tree-lined streets, perfect for couples seeking old-world elegance. The area hosts San Marco Preservation Hall, rated 5.0/5, which couples praise as "the ideal venue" and "a blank canvas" for personalization.

Riverside offers a blend of boutique shops, riverside views, and artistic energy—ideal if you want an urban feel with creative space. Both neighborhoods are walkable and offer great photo opportunities along the St. Johns River.

For waterfront charm closer to the Atlantic, Neptune Beach provides a coastal backdrop without the downtown bustle, making it perfect for a more relaxed celebration.

San Marco Preservation Hall leads with a perfect 5.0/5 rating. Couples love its versatility as a blank canvas that lets you fully customize your vision.

The Ribault Club, starting at $5,440 and also rated 5.0/5, stands out for its exceptionally responsive staff and thoughtful service from the first inquiry onward.

All4One Farms starts at $2,500 and earns a 5.0/5 rating. Recent couples raved that the venue "beyond met expectations" and praised its natural beauty—a September 2024 wedding there was described as exceeding all hopes.

All three venues combine excellent reviews with strong value, making them top choices across different budgets.

Many Jacksonville venues allow outside catering, but policies vary significantly—you'll need to confirm directly with each venue you're considering. Some charge a lower rental fee if you bring your own caterer, while others may require a catering minimum even with outside vendors.

Key questions to ask when booking:

  • Does the venue permit outside catering, or do I need to use their preferred list?
  • Is there a catering fee or service charge for bringing an outside vendor?
  • What kitchen access and equipment are included (prep space, warming ovens, serving stations)?
  • Are there refrigeration and storage options available?

Given Jacksonville's warm, humid climate, reliable food storage and cooling are especially important. Venues in neighborhoods like San Marco or Riverside tend to be more flexible with vendor policies, so it's worth asking upfront. Bringing your own caterer can be a smart budget move—catering averages $3,901 for 100 guests—but factor in any venue fees before comparing total costs.

Policies vary widely depending on the venue. Many small venues offer flexible catering options, allowing you to bring an outside caterer or your own alcohol (BYOB), while others require you to use their preferred vendors or in-house catering.

Here's what to clarify when you're comparing small venues:

  • Ask about BYOB policies—some venues permit outside alcohol with a corkage fee, while others prohibit it entirely
  • Inquire whether you can hire your own caterer or if the venue requires their preferred partner
  • Understand any minimum spend requirements, which typically range from $2,000–$8,000, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index across small venues on the market
  • Check if catering minimums are separate from or included in the venue rental fee

Small venues tend to be more flexible than large ones since they have fewer vendors to manage. However, some smaller spaces—especially restaurants or bars—may have stricter policies to protect their service standards. Always request these details in writing before booking to avoid surprises closer to your date.

For a 100-guest wedding in Jacksonville, you can expect to spend between $24,600 and $36,900, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index. This is notably higher than the national median of $25,000, reflecting Jacksonville's growing popularity as a wedding destination.

Your biggest expenses will be:

  • Catering: $3,901
  • Venues: $4,877
  • Florals: $3,901
  • Bar services: $3,121
  • Photography and videography: roughly $5,100 combined

Venues typically account for about 16% of your total budget. Based on Zola marketplace data, Jacksonville venue rental prices range from $1,000 to $5,440, giving you flexibility at different price points.

Venue capacity should align with your guest count and overall budget. Here's what to expect at different sizes:

  • 50 guests: $14,900–$22,300 total budget
  • 100 guests: $24,600–$36,900 total budget
  • 150 guests: $33,700–$50,600 total budget
  • 200 guests: $41,800–$62,800 total budget

Jacksonville offers venues that can accommodate intimate gatherings and large celebrations alike. When evaluating spaces, consider not just guest capacity but also flow—whether you'll have separate cocktail, dining, and dancing areas. Smaller venues in Riverside or San Marco work well for 50–100 guests, while larger estates and waterfront properties along the St. Johns River can handle 150+ comfortably.
