Christina and I met when we were 13 years old at Camp Widjiwagan. After a two-week canoe trip in the Boundary Waters, MN, we were instantly inseparable. Even though we lived far away, we were pen-pals for years and visited each-other on holidays. We kept going to camp together, and then went on to work for Widji for many summers after, and even got to lead some trips together! Despite never having lived in the same place - except for the cabins on Burnside Lake - we are lifelong friends. Christina lives with her husband Will and Eddie the husky in Seattle.

Tatty and I have known each other since we were babies; our moms were friends from Camp Widjiwagan. Although we grew up with separate friend groups, it only took us a month-long Widji canoe trip to finally become friends in high school. After that, we both worked for Widji, led trips together, and even went on a year-long adventure to New Zealand together. We have been lucky to remain close throughout the years, and always found time to visit each other; even though we live far apart, we are still as close as ever. Tatty is a speech pathologist and lives in Madison, WI with her husband Pete, and their new baby, George.

Simone was the first person I met at Prescott College; it was like fate brought us together! We were both from Maine, had transferred, and didn't have a place to live. Within about an hour, we found out we were on the same orientation trip and decided to move in together. We shared so many adventures over the next two years, and still find ways to make time to visit each other. Simone currently lives in Portland, OR with her boyfriend Jeff and adorable pup Luigi, and is pursing her MFA in Collaborative Design.

Sarah and I met at Prescott College, and together with Simone and Chrissy the four of us were inseparable. Sarah and I went on a month-long course exploring the US/Mexico border and border policy, which sparked a love of environmental and social justice in both of us. Sarah and I graduated together and she went on to complete her Masters in Social Work last year. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband Matthew.

Chrissy and I met at Prescott College and immediately bonded over being from Minnesota, our love of yoga, and her purple corduroy pants. We went on to share many potlucks, late nights studying, and drinks on the rooftop at the Raven. After college, we both ended up in the Bay Area, and got to know the area and the city together. She is an accomplished vocalist and is working towards her full spectrum Douala certification. She lives with her boyfriend Levi and wonderful rescue dog Clyde in Alameda, CA.

Mandy was one of the first girls from Reno that I met. Since her husband Elliott grew up with Zach and also spent a few years working in Baja with him, we all got to spend some fun vacations there together. Mandy is one of the funniest, silliest, and most intelligent people I know. I can always count on her to lend an ear, give great advice, or just have a good old fashioned kooky fun time! She is a therapist and lives with her husband Elliott and their two goofy bulldogs, Henry and Noodle.

Katie and her husband Brian have been like a family to us in Reno. We have spent many holidays with them and their families over the years, and always know who to call when we need someone to watch Echo. He loves hanging out with his best friend Loba, the Baja dog! We have had so much fun on ski trips, camping trips, and wine tasting trips with Katie and Brian over the years. One of our fondest memories is a ski trip we took with 3 other couples to Grand Targhee resort, where Brian proposed to Katie on top of a mountain. Katie is a speech pathologist and lives with Brian and Loba in Reno.

Sarah has been one of my adventure buddies in Reno since day one. I can always count on her and her pup Tioga to be down for a hike, ski, or camping trip. Echo and Tioga are only a few weeks apart, and grew up as best puppy friends. Sarah has been the organizer of our annual girls backpacking trip, helped guide us through a blizzard on a backcountry hut trip, and encouraged me to try rock climbing and mountain biking (but I'm still not really sold on those). We recently spent a week in Sayuilta, Mexico celebrating her and Max's marriage. She is an environmental consultant and lives with her husband Max and their dog Tioga in Reno.
