Please RSVP via the website or with Zach and Dana by August 1st, 2019.
Due to the intimate nature of our wedding, we ask that you don't surprise us with a plus-one.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We also understand that this is a long trip you are taking to come celebrate with us, and kids love the beach! If you decide to make it a family affair, please let us know ahead of time and we will be happy to help coordinate childcare for the ceremony and reception.
Dress for a beachy fiesta! You won't see any neutrals in our color palette - think bright colors, floral prints, and linen pants! We will be outside for the entire ceremony and reception, so be prepared for afternoon sun, perhaps some wind, and dancing all night. We're going barefoot on the beach, but recommend a pair of dancing shoes for the reception, as the brick courtyard is a little rough on bare feet. Although temperatures usually stay in the 60's at night, you might want a layer for when the sun goes down.
Please send all dietary requests to Zach or Dana with your RSVP.
Please see our travel section for recommendations on hotels, vacation homes, and rentals near the venue.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so you can grab a cocktail and get a good seat!
Yes! Please see the schedule page for events all week long!
No, all water in Baja must be treated to drink safely. Most houses and hotels have a large "garrifone" - or water cooler - that has filtered water for drinking and cooking. You can also buy bottled water at the store.
The CDC has recently updated their information on Zika. Mexico is on the list of countries that had a previous outbreak but is not currently having a Zika outbreak. Baja is geographically completely isolated from mainland Mexico, and there have been 0 reports of Zika in Baja in 2018, and only 2 reported in 2017. Between 2015-2016, there were 6 reported cases. We have traveled extensively in the region for the past 6 years, and have never heard of Zika being an issue in Baja specifically. The terrain is much different and not a lush jungle like the mainland areas where Zika has been reported. That being said, if you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant, please consult a physician regarding travel to Baja.
This really depends on your provider and your plan. There is wifi in some restaurants and hotels in La Ventana but it can be spotty. We recommend checking with your carrier to see how to add Mexico coverage for the week.
Most places in La Ventana and southern Baja do not accept credit cards, and be wary using your card because they can be hacked. Your best bet is to withdraw Pesos from an ATM at the Soriana (grocery store) near the airport, since there is not an ATM in La Ventana. You can also order Pesos from your local bank before you travel and get a decent rate. Exchanging money at the airport is ripoff. Baja Joe's, Star Market and Oscaritos (small grocery store), and hotels are the only places you can use your credit card in La Ventana.
