Meaghan is one of Kate's best friends, and quickly became good friends with Zac. While still living in Binghamton, the three of us were often together. It became a running joke that Kate, Zac, and Meag made a wonderful 'thruple' so, it's only fitting the three of us are united through marriage, with Meag performing the ceremony for Kate and Zac.
Christine
Maid of Honor
Christine is Kate's younger sister. We haven't always gotten along (especially when living together!) but, over the years Chris has become one of my closest friends. She's always there when she needs her, like when I had my shoulder surgery in 2021 and Chris played nurse for a week. I couldn't imagine a wedding without Chris next to me!
Andrea
Matron of Honor
Andrea is Zac's older sister and has become like a sister to Kate. That includes sharing lots of wine, talking, and watching/discussing trashy reality TV. It's always a fun time when we get together - either with or without Zac Both of us are so glad to have her by our sides when we get married!
Diane
Bridesmaid
Diane has been one of Kate's closest friends since high school. We've had so many fun experiences from meeting the Lonely Island to a Finger Lakes vacation to Diane and Stan's wedding in 2021. We don't always see each other with her in Jersey and Kate upstate, but pick right up like nothing's changed. I can't wait to have Diane share our wedding day by my side!
Mandy
Bridesmaid
Mandy is one of Kate's friends - and saving graces - from grad school. She's one of the only reasons I was able to survive 7 years in Binghamton and get through our program. In addition to being an awesome coworker (and lifesaver countless times...and always an ear for grad school complaining), she's an amazing friend. We've had so many great adventures like kayaking and picnic dates, hiking trips, and a road trip to Canada. I can't wait for more adventures and to share our wedding day with her by my side!
Amanda
Bridesmaid
Amanda is Kate's friend from grad school and one of the only reasons she made it through the first two years. We've spent so many late nights (with wine) studying...but mostly hanging out and having fun. We spent lots of time hiking and have gone to concerts like Warped Tour in AC back in the pre-COVID days. I can't wait for more concerts, hikes, and for celebrating our wedding with her by my side!
Maggie
Bridesmaid
Maggie is one of Kate's closest friends from grad school. We've spent so much time working todether, having coffee dates, and doing crosswords - those days were always so much fun and one of the reasons I survived grad school (somewhat) sane. Even when we're apart - with Maggie in Wisconsin or Binghamton and Kate in Albany - we have a blast watching murder mystery docuseries on Discord or having long conversations on the phone. I always have so much fun with Maggie and can't wait to celebrate with her by my side!
Ryan
Best Man
Ryan has been Zac's best friend since 7th grade. They became friends through skiing, StarCraft, and Warcraft III. Zac and Ryan were roommates for a few months when they were 19 & 20 until Ryan enlisted in the Air Force. While they did not see each other as much as they would have liked in their twenties as Ryan lived on the west coast and in Hawaii during his service in the Air Force, they were able to have some great times through Zac visiting Ryan in Hawaii and spending a week together in Tokyo. Ryan now lives with his husband, Jeff, in Washington D.C.
John
Groomsman
John and Zac first met during Thanksgiving 2019, when Zac went to visit the DeRosa house for the first time. During this trip to Staten Island Zac and John were able to have some fun together through board games. Zac and John have continued to have bond over games since. Zac is looking forward to being able to spend more time with his future brother-in-law now that they live closer together with John being in Utica.
Rachel
Groomswoman
Rachel and Zac have known each other since the age of 11 when Rachel's father married Zac's aunt Connie. They became close during college and, while not seeing each other as often as they would like, they have been able to have a lot of fun going to breweries, restaurants, and Rachel's famous flower city parties. Having Rachel by his side at his wedding was a no-brainer for Zac as she can can liven up the entire room.
Tom
Groomsman
Tom is Rachel's husband. Having been together for over ten years, Zac knows Tom just about as well as Rachel. Zac and Tom have had a lot of fun together through concerts, such as Lionel Richie's All the Hits tour at SPAC, through the occasional beer and cigar, or through Tom not helping Zac become an Elden Lord. Kate and Zac look forward to having Tom at the wedding as his charm and wit are always a welcome addition.
Kinley
Junior Groomsman
Kinley is Zac's oldest nephew. Thankfully he has grown up to be pretty darned fun. Kinley and Zac have spent both spent a lot of their childhood being dragged to music festivals to shill Andrea's clothing. Zac is glad to have Kinley by his side at the wedding.
Calder
Junior Groomsman
Calder is Zac's second youngest nephew. Like his uncle, he enjoys music and concerts. Calder is just about as excited about the wedding as Kate and Zac are, which is why he is an obvious choice to support them at the wedding.
Tiernan
Junior Groomsman
Tiernan is Zac's youngest nephew. Tiernan loves Minecraft, Sonic, Mario, and has been known to occasionally dabble in Pokémon.
