Come in your favorite fairytale attire and show up in your Shire best! We encourage all of our guests to have fun with their outfit and dress as if they belong in Middle Earth. Please note that the bridal party will be wearing dusty rose and sage green.
During this time it will be Spring on New Zealand's North Island. The weather is breezy and chill with temperatures ranging from 50°-70° throughout the day. In the event of rain, don't worry! It's good luck! The venue will provide umbrellas, if needed. Packing a sweater and warm clothes is recommended.

Guided Walking Tour

Comfortable, sturdy walking shoes or waterproof sneakers with good traction are recommended to wear during the tour. We advise against wearing heels or sandals. Feel free to bring extra shoes specifically for the tour.
Guests are required per contract to attend a full tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set after the ceremony. The guided walking tour is about 1.5 hours/1.25 miles, with uneven paths and a steep hill to Bag End, but rest stops and guide assistance are available for mobility concerns. If you feel you are unable to complete the tour due to health risks or disabilities, please let us know as soon as possible as accessibility options are very limited.
