Best Man
John started as the barely welcome addition to CJ's bowling group freshman (plebe) year at West Point. It wasn't until a few weeks later when they were able to make obscure movie and meme references at will that they realized how quick that could grow their friendship. They ended up as roommates several times and constantly joke that they have spent more time sleeping near each other than their respective fiances.

Frank was a bastion of reason and logic in an otherwise spastic and backwards world in the ADA BN at El Paso. Despite the uncountable amount of mismanaged tasks he was expected to complete, he was always able to get over it and listen to CJ's equally inane days over a beer and end the night deep in discussions of economics, politics, or failing to beat CJ in pretty much any video game.

Dre is CJ's second longest term friendship, only losing to Shae Mitchell. Dre and CJ were inseparable while they lived together in Sittard, Netherlands attending AFNORTH. Dre saw CJ playing basketball and thought he would assert himself by schooling him, and while he did win, it was by a narrow margin. That little bit of respect plus a wide variety of shared interests bloomed into a long lasting friendship.

Bo met CJ through his wife Kristy while they were assigned together at Fort Bliss. It was instantly clear that Bo was the archetypical teddy bear. Gruff exterior, deep wells of caring underneath. Even while dealing with a complex career situation, a move and his beautiful daughter Miranda, he was always ready to open his doors and host an adult sleepover.

Matt has been many things to CJ throughout the years. Through tough periods of his life, there was no greater friend he could ask for. Through formative years, there was no greater competition than his little brother. Matt's determination, resourcefulness and intelligence pushed CJ to try harder in everything and has helped him achieve everything he has to date.
