Matron of Honor
She's known Matt for 13 years and Meghan for 9 years and has been a huge part of their lives throughout. From eating Dairy Queen all through high school with Matt to eating Bombers all through college with Meghan, she's been through both of our highs and lows over the years and was the amazing one to introduce us.
Bridesmaid
Kristine met Meghan Freshman year of high school when they had many of their honors classes together and ran track and field together. Since then, they have been on many adventures together from driving around the streets of Huntington Beach in Kristine's stick shift convertible, which always seemed to need a push start, to traveling across the hills of Switzerland searching for the best cheese and chocolate.
Bridesmaid
Meghan and Kristy met when Meghan was 2 days and Kristy was 1 month old. Since then, they have shared many family vacations together from the slopes of June Mountain to the semi-annual Lake Powell houseboating trips. They even got to be roommates for one year when Meghan was living in San Diego and Meghan got to annoy Kristy everyday!
Bridesmaid
Meghan and Monica met in Sixth grade when they just happened to have all of the same classes together. Since then, they have grown through the awkwardness of middle school, fun of high school, distance of college, and trying to be real people in this adult world.
Bridesmaid
Olivia and Meghan met in Freshman year of high school when they shared many of the same classes and similar friends. Since then, they both took an interest in many of the same science classes and both ended up in healthcare. They now enjoy sharing a glass (or bottle) of wine and discussing all the fun patients they get to see and reminisce about the crazy old days.
Bridesmaid
Meghan and Elizabeth met when Matt introduced Meghan to his family and they are excited to be future sisters-in-law.
Best Man
Craig is Matt's older brother and the best man for this wedding. Craig spent a luxurious two years being spoiled as an only child until Matt came along and made him share the spotlight. Growing up they fought, bickered and tried to outdo each other in every sport they competed in (you know, the basic sibling things), until one day when they joined forces at a family reunion and won the grueling Wiehe family cornhole tournament in Cincinnati. They dominated the competition so badly that the family had to make a rule that they could never team up again. But, since this is Matt's wedding, that rule will be put to the side, the cornhole boards will be set out (weather permitting) and all the guests can have a shot at taking down the champs.
Groomsman
Matt and Ryan met in middle school and eventually went on to attend the same high school. In high school, they competed in cross country and track & field, running 5k's and racing on the same 4x800 relay team. They had so much fun as teammates in high school that they decided to keep on running together in college at Ashland University where Ryan constantly tried to convince Matt to adopt barefoot running. They ran for hours on end, played hours of ping pong and call of duty, had airsoft wars in the quad and did pretty much anything except their school work. Ryan and Matt still enjoy camping and hanging out in hammocks in the woods so if you hear some people in the trees at the venue it's most likely them.
Groomsman
Matt and John met in upstate New York at Ithaca College. They coached the men's cross country and track teams at IC. One of the most memorable coaching moments between the two was when they were at a home meet in the dead of winter, had both just spent 12 hours running a meet and were just grateful to be going home to get some sleep. Unfortunately, neither of them got any sleep because John decided to play bumper cars with Matt just as they left campus. The next hour was spent standing in the cold waiting for a tow truck to pull John's car away and Matt tying his bumper back on. For some reason Matt kept hanging out with John after that (because he had to drive John to practice everyday until his car was fixed) and they became such good friends that John followed Matt and Meghan to Ohio.
Groomsman
Matt and Brandon met freshman year of college. They ran cross country and track together at Ashland University. Brandon is the one who got Matt addicted to the show Game of Thrones which Matt has now watched all the way through four times. They bonded over the countless laps around the track doing what seemed like endless amounts of 1000 meter repeats over their four years running together. However, they now prefer drinking countless beers together over running countless laps around the track.
Groomsman
Isaac and Matt met freshman year of college on the cross country and track & field teams. They spent the majority of their first two years of school hating each others guts. Matt would constantly try his best to annoy Potes every minute of every run and Potes would constantly threaten to stab Matt with either his knives or his machete. Eventually they began to grow on each other and their hate for each other somehow turned to friendship. Nowadays they greet each other with a firm slap to the face and an ice cold beer. So if you see a tall goofy dude beating up on the groom at the reception, don't worry, it's just part of their weird friend dynamic.
Groomsman
David met Meghan while at Ithaca College and is the husband of Matt's high school best friend Alexa, who is also Meghan's Matron of Honor. The first time Matt and David met was shortly after he and Alexa started dating. Alexa was over at Matt's house with high school friends and they had shared quite a few adult beverages while catching up. They all thought it would be a good idea to go walk around the neighborhood in the rain with no umbrella at 11:00 PM and Alexa thought, hey perfect time to introduce my new boyfriend to my friends! So they FaceTimed David as they walked around in the dark and the rain to meet him and tell him about their late night adventures that night. Luckily, David didn't think they were too crazy after that and he stuck around. Now the four are inseparable.
Usher
Even though he is the person that kept Meghan from being an only child, we are excited he is taking a weekend off from his adventurous life of jet skiing and mountain biking to join us on our special day.
Usher
For the first two years of his life, Meghan used to tell her mom every night that she was scared that she was going to have a fat brother. Luckily, he hasn't gained a pound since and will fit right into his suit.
Ring Bearer
Cameron is Matt's nephew and we are excited to have his cute face be with us on our special day!
Flower Girl
Maple is our little fur baby that we welcomed into our lives in August 2019. Meghan was very adamant that we wouldn't get a dog until after the wedding, but one look at little Maple changed her mind. This little rascal will be the perfect pawson to fetch some flowers for the big day.
