We are registered on Zola! Click on the Registry tab above to see some things we would love to have as newlyweds!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love all kids, we want this night to be a fun night off. We can't wait to spend time with your kids the next time we hang out!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:00 PM so please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior so you are able to find parking and grab a seat.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 3rd, 2020. If not, plan to pack your own dinner and bring your own table and chair!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies please let us know when you RSVP so we can make sure everyone is fed and happy!

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

There will be a shuttle running from the Mohican Lodge, where a block of hotel rooms is reserved, to the Mohican Grand Barn, the ceremony and reception site. Schedule is to be determined and will be posted here once we know it.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a large dirt lot next to the ceremony/reception site with plenty of free parking for all.

Question

What setting will the ceremony and reception be in?

Answer

The ceremony will (weather-permitting) be on an outdoor patio with the reception following in a barn built especially for weddings. The area surrounding the venue is a forest with the parking lot being dirt. In the case of rain, there is a covered drop off spot. However, you may have to walk through some dirt to get to the venue depending on what happens that day. Once you arrive at the ceremony, all floors through the night are paved or wood and most areas are covered. The barn will be open air with heating lamps to provide amble air flow.

Question

How quickly can I get between all these amazing places?

Answer

Our venue where both our ceremony and reception will be held is located about an hour outside of the Columbus area, near the Mohican Forest. Here are some approximate travel times between some of the locations: Columbus Airport to Mohican Lodge - 1 hour 15 minutes Mohican Lodge to Mohican Grand Barn - 30 minutes Pins in Dublin to Mohican Lodge - 1 hour 15 minutes Columbus Airport to Pins in Dublin - 30 minutes

Question

What requirements will there be in light of COVID-19?

Answer

We will be expecting all guests and vendors to follow local and state orders on the day of our wedding. For those traveling from out of town that may not be familiar with Ohio's orders, we will do our best to inform you as close to the wedding as possible with current orders that may affect you. We encourage people to be prepared to protect themselves and others to the extent that they feel comfortable with. We do not plan to oversee everyone's actions throughout the day and night but hope our friends and family continue to be the considerate, loving people who respect others' concerns and wishes. Please let us know if you have further questions regarding anything!

Question

How is your venue ensuring safety in light of recent COVID-19 precautions?

Answer

As we know, the coronavirus situation is ever evolving. As we learn more about the virus and community regulations change, we will update and change plans as needed. At this point, the state of Ohio is allowing wedding receptions, but if that changes we will make sure to update you. We have the luxury of having a semi-open air environment. Because we know open airflow decreases risk of disease spread, we plan to keep all the doors and windows open throughout our reception night. We plan to have heaters available if the temperature gets too chilly inside. Also, the staff will be regularly cleaning high touch areas such as bathrooms and door handles along with providing hand sanitizing. We will plan to make table arrangements that will decrease risk of close contact. We hope these changes will allow us to have a safe event that everyone feels comfortable at while maintaining the celebratory atmosphere!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have placed a room block at The Mohican Lodge and the venue has treehouses that are able to be booked for Saturday night. Booking information for both is listed on our Travel page of this website. On there you will also find some recommendations for other hotels in the Columbus area if you are traveling from out of town.

Question

Who took the amazing engagement pictures on your website?

Answer

All of our engagement session pictures and wedding day pictures were and will be taken by Jess Seed of Seedling Photography, who we could not recommend more for anyone with an upcoming wedding!
