Question

Is the altitude pretty high in Estes Park, CO?

Answer

Yes it is! Sitting at about 8,300 feet above sea level, the air is considerably thinner in Estes Park than wherever you may be traveling from. Whether you hail from 5,280 or you've never been above sea level your entire life, we want to make sure you have the best time while you're with us at this altitude! Make sure to drink lots of water and if you're prone to some altitude sickness or have never been at altitude before, it can be helpful to take some ibuprofen when you wake up in the morning. You may also feel those drinks a bit quicker, so pace yourself, hydrate, eat bread all night, and dance the night away!

Question

Do I need boots or snow gear for the wedding itself?

Answer

Yes and no! The ceremony site is built to handle winter weather and snow. It will be shoveled, paved, and maintained no matter what weather we encounter, so you don't need to worry about trekking through any snow in your heels! We do want you to be warm and comfortable throughout the short outdoor ceremony, so feel free to bring hats, gloves, and scarves. We will have a coat check for the indoor reception so you won't be burdened by your winter accessories, and again, can dance the whole night away!

Question

Will it be snowing?

Answer

To be honest with you, we're hoping so! Keep an eye on our page as we get closer to the date, and we'll post weather forecasts. Colorado gets more sunshine than anywhere else in the country, especially in the winter, but it will be cold in December at this altitude no matter what. Sometimes it is 60 degrees in the morning and snowing by the afternoon, so pack for that crazy, unpredictable Colorado weather!

Question

Are kids allowed at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

As denoted on your invitation, your children are as welcome as you are, and we can't wait to party with your whole family. We look forward to laughing, crying, screaming, and dancing with them until way past all our bedtimes.

Question

Can I bring a date to the wedding?

Answer

Hell yeah you can!

Question

What's the best way to get to the wedding venue?

Answer

We have arranged for a shuttle service through Estes Park Shuttle for the afternoon and night of the wedding. There are no Uber or Lyft services in Estes, and only one taxi cab, so this shuttle is a very good option so you don't need to worry about drinking and driving, or for anyone who is worried about winter mountain night driving as well. We will coordinate with you and Estes Park Shuttle for guests looking to use this service, and get you a pickup location and time for the day of the wedding. And this shuttle is on us!
