The Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, & Dinner will all be outside. The temperature is predicted to be very warm. The sun will be going down as Cocktail Hour ends, which should help to make the rest of the evening more comfortable. Water and individual fans will also be provided in an effort to ease the heat.
While we both love kids, and your kids especially, we are keeping this an adults only affair.
We will be providing transportation to and from the Fairmont and Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Buses will leave the Fairmont at 5:15 pm, sharp. Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception will all be held onsite at the Wildflower Center. (More details under "Schedule") Ride share is also readily available and there is also a parking lot available if you prefer to drive yourself. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy themselves and get home safely, so if you drive yourself, please do so responsibly.
A rental car should not be necessary for the weekend. Ride sharing services are readily available throughout Austin, and easy to use getting to and from the hotel. The Fairmont is located downtown within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and bars. And as previously stated, we will be providing transportation to and from the Wedding. If you choose to rent a car, be aware that parking ranges from $32 (self park) to $45 (valet) a night at the Fairmont.
Cocktail attire is requested for the Wedding. Please keep in mind that most of the evening will be outdoors.
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not allowed on Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center property, including the parking lot. This is to ensure there is no damage to plants and wildlife, as well as to prevent any accidental fires.
