Ashley and Steven both attended the University of Illinois but it took none other than the Bumble dating app for both of their lives to change forever. Their first date was dinner at The Franklin Room where they quickly bonded over their love of music and concerts. The rest is history as they say.....

Steven made a reservation at Roister - Ashley & Steven's favorite restaurant in the West Loop. This was a great excuse to have "one last great dinner" before leaving for Europe the following weekend. Little did Ashley know that this night wasn't just a normal dinner date. Ashley & Steven arrived at the restaurant and were seated at the hearth that surrounds the open air kitchen. They went through the normal course of dinner (pun) and when dessert arrived, their waitress brought out a stack of three dishes and told Ashley & Steven that the desserts were on the house. Ashley uncovered the first two desserts but when she got to the third dessert she discovered a ring box! Steven then got down on one knee and asked Ashley to marry him. After enjoying some celebratory champagne, they walked out of the restaurant to Steven's sister and Ashley's father (and dog Lucy) waiting to greet them. They all went in together to Blind Barber and had 25 of their friends waiting there to celebrate! Steven organized the perfect engagement and pulled it off without a hitch.

Our wedding will be held outdoors, just south of Downtown Austin, at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. We are thrilled to celebrate our wedding with all of you in one of our favorite cities!
