Travel Note
Traveling from out of town? We can’t wait for you to see the place we have called home for many years! The Blue Ridge Mountains are beautiful - but it is definitely rural, and the wedding is located in the small little town of Jefferson. Getting to Jefferson is no walk in the park! But we think it’ll be worth it. We hope you can make the trek, but understand that traveling can be a challenge, and we understand if you are unable to attend. If you are flying: -Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT): Largest airport in the region with the most flight options; about a 2 to 2.5 hour drive to Jefferson. From Charlotte, you can take the Hickory Hop shuttle service for a comfy ride up to Boone. Smaller Airports -Greensboro’s Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO): Mid-sized and easy to navigate; roughly a 2 hour drive. -Asheville Regional Airport (AVL): Small, calm airport with great mountain views; about a 2 to 2.5 hour drive. -Tri-Cities Airport (TRI): Smaller regional airport in Tennessee; often the shortest drive at 1.5 to 2 hours. - Ashe County Regional Airport: public use airport for flying private. If you are flying from St. Pete, there are direct flights to AVL. <3

We also recommend exploring AirBnB’s in the area if you are looking for a more luxurious stay or to share a house with friends and family. The shuttle will pick up from the West Jefferson Holiday Inn, nearby houses with over 8 guests, and the Ashe County Park if you are driving.
