We are incredibly grateful to have you in our lives and would love to celebrate with you! Please join us for a night of feasting and dancing in Jefferson, NC. We hope you are able to make it!
We met in garden club, the first of the year, fall 2017. Michael brought a big foraged mushroom. Sydney had dirt under her fingernails. Our friendship grew over many a potluck, river adventure, and garden work day. Later, it continued over community organizing and contra dancing. In 2020, we moved into a big old farm house with other friends, some chickens, and a good cat. We bonded more under lockdown over climbing, cooking, and community organizing (still). Little did we – or our other roommates – know, our friendship would blossom into something more! What we thought would be a lockdown fling turned out to be too good to ever let end. Crying over a Thai food picnic the night before Sydney moved to Vermont for grad school, we decided we couldn't call it quits. Michael moved to Vermont shortly after. Vermont brought us sweet Tuuli (our cat), vegan creemees, and more winter than a Florida girl had ever had to deal with. Michael taught Sydney to ice skate. Done with grad school (and Vermont), we took a long meandering trip back to Boonetown, climbing a lot of rocks along the way. We moved into a cozy little house in the woods on top of a mountain, and reconnected with all our favorite friends, rivers, mountains, and trails. It was on one of those very rivers on the sunny summer solstice that Michael asked Sydney to marry him. She said yes! Then we swam. Then we had a party! Now we're having another, and you're invited!!! <3 <3 <3 Hope you can make it. xx, Michael & Sydney
