Flight

FLIGHT OPTIONS

We recommend setting a price alert to track desired routes (instructions below & we've also added a tutorial video if you click "view" below) How to track flight prices - Go to flights.google.com - Choose your departure airport and destination - Select your flight dates - Tap Track prices SUGGESTIONS: Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport (BOD): This is the closest airport to our venue but will most likely be the most expensive option and you'll most likely have a connection because direct flights are not common for this airport. PARIS: If you have a few days before or after our wedding we suggest flying into The City of Love, aka Paris. Flights are less expensive this way and you can take a 3 hour train or 1 hour flight from Paris to Bordeaux. Note: this option is best if you have extra time to explore the city. Otherwise, it'll most likely end up costing about the same amount to fly directly to Bordeaux. LONDON: Flights to London are often less expensive than flying into France. If you're looking for a travel hack we suggest looking at flights to London and then taking a connecting flight to either Paris or Bordeaux from there. Book the connecting flight separately to save money & take advantage of this travel hack. The idea is that you'll take an international flight from the US to Europe and once there you'll take a domestic flight (much less expensive) to France. If you go this route you will need to make sure you'll have optimal time to do a self-transfer (meaning you go through customs when you've arrived in London, get your luggage, and then check in for your domestic flight to France).

Train

TRAINS

The train system in France is incredible! We will be adding some tips below to help navigate the process so please come back and visit soon. This is a great option if you are traveling from Paris to Bordeaux.

Rental Car

Bordeaux

Bordeaux, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

We recommend renting a car in Bordeaux to drive to the venue or your accommodation in Saint Émilion. Both Saint Émilion and the venue are about a 1 hour drive from Bordeaux. You can easily rent a car from either the airport or train station. Check out www.autoslash.com to make a reservation now & potentially pay less when you go to pick your car up! (one of our favorite car rental travel hacks).

Hotel

STAYS IN SAINT ÉMILION

We recommend our guests stay in the small medieval town of Saint Émilion (about 15min drive from the venue). Saint-Emilion is a charming medieval village located in the heart of the famous Bordeaux wine area. It is a very unique UNESCO World Heritage site were world-famous wineries, fine wine, beautiful architecture and great monuments are a perfect match. In this romantic wine village you'll find many guest houses. The city does not allow for more than 6 bedrooms per "hotel" so the accommodations are unique and intimate. Most within stone walls or on expansive vineyards. Whichever setting you choose, you'll be blown away by the hospitality and regality of the city. There is plenty to explore between wine-tastings, fine dining, historical monuments, breathtaking views, and electric bike tours around the city! The city has a law that "hotels" are not allowed to have more than 6 rooms- with that being said, we have chosen not to do hotel blocks. The town is already SO intimate and small that you can't go wrong wherever you choose to stay! We recommended the regular booking sites to find the right fit for you & your budget- Expedia, Hotels.com, Booking.com, Vrbo & Airbnb.

Shuttle

Shuttle from Saint-Émilion to Wedding Venue

October 15, 2025 3:00 pm - 3:00 am

We will have a meeting spot at the top of Saint-Émilion to pick up all guests that need a ride to the wedding. The bus will arrive at 3pm and take all guests at once (so please be sure to be on time!) Later that evening we will have a shuttle taking guests back to Saint-Émilion from 11pm to 2:45am. The shuttle will come every 30-40min. If you choose to leave before, after, or in-between- taxi's should be available for booking.

House Or Rental

Château De Garde

3 Garde, Moulon, Nouvelle-Aquitaine 33420, France

Our dream wedding venue where we'll finally say "I do"! We will be asking our family and wedding party to stay on the property with us from October 14th to the 16th. There is plenty of parking for all events & days on site. We are working with our wedding planner to try and coordinate a shuttle from Saint Émilion to the venue for the night of the 15th but this has not yet been confirmed so for now please plan to drive to the venue via your rental car.

For all the days along the way
