Amtrak

For guests who live on the east coast, and would like to take the train to New York, this is a great option. Amtrak runs straight into Penn Station where you can connect to the NYC Subway and Long Island Railroad.

Newark Liberty International Airpot (EWR)

Newark International Airport is located in New Jersey, and is the furthest airport from New York City and Long Island, but still receives almost all major airlines. EWR is readily accessible by New Jersey Transit (commuter rail), Uber, and New York Taxis.

Located in Queens, New York, JFK is the closest airport to Long Island. It receives almost all major airlines and is readily accessible by the Long Island Railroad, Uber, and New York Taxis.

La Guardia Airport (LGA)

Laguardia airport is the smallest of the three New York area airports, and is also located in Queens. For those wishing to use public transport, La Guardia does not have a commuter rail or subway connection, but is still accessible by Uber and New York Taxis.

Long Island Rail Road

This is the main commuter rail used to access Long Island. It runs in and out of Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan. The railroad is great for travel directly East or West when coming in and out of the city, but has limited capability to run directly north and south.
