One of our favorite spots to frequent - we love spending the day on the beach with a Co-Op sandwich in hand, followed by dinner at Obstinate Daughter or Home Team BBQ (be sure to get a Gamechanger). We love ending the day with a pint at Dunleavy's Irish bar. P.S. look for our picture on the wall! (FYI - Dunleavy's is cash only but they have an ATM).
Not only was this our most frequented beach while in school, its the place that Greg told Maggie he loved her! Enjoy the beach and be sure to head to Chico Feo for some fun music and great tacos, or head to Low Life bar where the cocktails are sure to impress and the food is always a hit. Don't forget to grab some ice cream at Bert's Market before heading home! "They may doze, but they never close!"
If you're interested in diving into American history, this is the place for you. This plantation is known for its thorough recounting of the enslaved peoples who lived and worked there. It also boasts our country's oldest landscaped gardens. We recommend taking a guided tour followed by lunch, drinks or dinner at their restaurant on site.
Here you’ll find waterfront bars and restaurants (such as Vickery’s Bar & Grill!), a beautiful walking path through the marsh, as well as boat and kayak rentals. A great spot for dolphin watching and sunset gazing over a beer or cocktail.
You can’t visit Charleston without walking down the iconic Rainbow Row and general South of Broad area. Pop by the Pineapple Fountain, walk down Rainbow Row, and around the Battery and don’t be afraid to get lost wandering down the Holy City’s beautiful streets.
There are dozens of boutiques, antique stores and art galleries to explore on King St. If you're looking for a place to shop, this is it!
Charleston is steeped in Civil War and Revolutionary War history. Fort Sumter is a key spot to visit if you're a history buff. You also get a nice boat ride through the Charleston Harbor out of it!
