Cocktail attire, please! We want you to feel both dressy and comfortable dancing! Bridesmaids will be in floor length chiffon dresses, groomsmen in tuxedo suits. Please refrain from wearing strong cologne or perfume. Kristen has an autoimmune sensitivity and can feel dizzy/experience lung pain around strong scents. We want to be able to dance, hug, and spend time with you!
We love you AND your family. You are welcome to bring your little ones. We want you to have a wonderful time, so we trust you will decide what works best for you. Please keep in mind there will be an open bar, ceremony, DJ, loud music, and dancing until 11PM.

Yes! Shuttle pick up: The Monterey Marriott. Please check our Travel page for specifics about hotel options, hotel block info, and deadlines to book. Perks of staying near the Monterey Marriott or nearby areas are ease of transport shuttle service to and from the venue and easy walk to the beach! You are welcome to stay other places in Monterey, if the hotel recommendations don't work well for you.
Yes: We want you to feel comfortable drinking and not worrying about how to get back to your hotel/downtown Monterey after the wedding. We will provide a shuttle service from the Monterey Marriott to the venue and back to the hotel. You can also drive separately and park in the venue parking lot.
There will be an open bar with bartenders serving mixed drinks, beer, and wine. There will also be a variety of non-alcoholic drinks available (sodas, sparkling water, coffee, etc. including specialty nonalcoholic mocktails!)
It can vary! Some days are warm and sunny, and some are mildly rainy. Our ceremony will (hopefully) take place outside on the patio of the venue and the rest of the celebration will be indoors!
If you are gluten free- Kristen is, too! So there will be lots of GF options. If you need a vegetarian or vegan meal, please let Ben and Kristen know as soon as possible- we will have one made for you. If you have another specific food allergy that needs special accommodations, please let us know by the RSVP deadline.
