Going-to-the-Sun Road
A scenic 31 mile drive from Whitefish Mountain Resort, Glacier National Park is a must-see during your visit. Stunning vistas, glacial fields, crystal clear lakes and rivers as well as an ever-present opportunity to view wildlife. This engineering marvel takes you 50 miles through Glacier National Park's wild and pictorial interior. Glacier National Park Shuttles and Red Bus Tours are available if you are uncomfortable taking these turns yourself. In addition to the breathtaking drive, Glacier National Park is a hiker's dream! Explore on foot for a day or get into the backcountry on an overnight backpacking trip of a lifetime.
Swan Mountain Horseback Riding
Glacier National Park, otherwise known as the “Crown of the Continent”, stretches across thousands of miles of snow-capped Rocky Mountain peaks in Northwest Montana. The Glacier backcountry is a land of shining mountains, sweeping alpine views and aquamarine glacial waters you simply have to experience. And, what better way to do that than on horseback?
Whitefish Mountain Zip Line Tours
Soar high above ski slopes, over ravines and through the trees on Montana’s longest zip line tour. Experience more than a mile of flying on six separate lines stretching as long as 1,900 ft. across and up to 300 ft. above the forest floor. If the exhilaration doesn’t take your breath away, the views will. We will be adding a zip-lining event before the wedding and would love anyone who is able to join. Whitewater Rafting Tours
Along the southern boundary to Glacier National Park, the Middle Fork of the Flathead River offers the best whitewater rafting in Montana. Rafting will be the perfect addition to your Montana vacation! The Flathead River is protected as a “Wild and Scenic” river ensuring that it will remain free-flowing and untamed. The Wild and Scenic Middle Fork of the Flathead River offers white-knuckle rafting through the John F. Stevens Canyon. These rafting adventures feature Class II-III rapids while enjoying the majestic mountain views of Glacier National Park.
